What Boeing product(s) or service(s) do you work on?
I work with corporate sponsorships, so I’m constantly meeting new people all over Boeing and all around the community.
What’s been the most rewarding project you’ve worked on as a Boeing intern?
I’m proud of the stories I published on Boeing.com/Washington about the partnerships Boeing has with the local community — for example, with the Seahawks, Mariners, Sounders FC and more. I went to onsite events to interview people and then used what I learned to write, edit and publish stories. It was rewarding because I was able to watch my writing skills get stronger with the help of my manager and colleagues.
How will your internship experience at Boeing influence your future career?
I’ve met the most amazing and supportive people here who opened doors and introduced me to different fields that I never would have known about.
What have you learned as an intern that you wouldn’t learn from your coursework?
What made my internship so special to me were the people I met who have been supportive and taught me things I never would have learned at school. I also learned the importance of not being afraid to reach out and just email anyone for an informational meeting about their career to help figure out what’s out there.
What’s something you wish you knew before you started your internship?
I wish I knew how supportive and helpful my teammates were going to be. I was worried about how I was going to do with writing before I started, but when I actually got here, I realized there was nothing to be worried about because my manager always had my back.
What about Boeing’s mission and the work we do inspires you?
Seeing how much people here love their jobs and what they do when they come in every day pushes me to work harder and be the best version of myself.
