Meet Emily Schnieders, Flight Test Engineer
Emily grew up in a family that loved all things Star Wars, Stargate, and Star Trek. Later, her three older brothers went into engineering, so it came as no surprise when Emily, who was drawn to airplanes and rocket science, felt the pull of a career in aerospace.
Since first interning with Boeing, Emily has worked in rotations across four business units, each of them offering a window into the product lifecycle. She has also worked on the cargo air vehicle program and with Disney on drones that resembled the X-Wing fighters from Star Wars.
Today, Emily is living out her dream as a T-7A flight test conductor. “It’s exciting—the diversity of opportunity,” she says.
