Position Overview:
We are looking for a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to join Boeing (Zhoushan) Completion Center, based in Zhoushan, China. The Boeing (Zhoushan) Completion Center completes the final assembly and interior installations of the 737 MAX Aircraft, the paint, and various monuments/galleys.
The role will be responsible for management oversight of Boeing (Zhoushan) Completion Center which is a Joint Venture with Commercial Aviation Corporation of China (COMAC).
This appointment is subject to Boeing (Zhoushan) Completion Center board of directors’ approval and applicable PRC Company Law eligibility requirements.
Position Responsibility:
Be responsible for the final phases of quality manufacturing and deliver the aircraft to the Boeing China Delivery Center which is co-located at the site. At Peak Rate, the Completion Center will be operating at 10 aircraft per month.
Be responsible for corporate governance and reporting to seven member Board of Directors. Key managers include Assistant General Manager, Chief of Operations, Chief Financial Officer, Corporate Controller, and Directors of HR, Quality, Production Support Engineering, and Business Operations.
Secure Government and regulatory approvals for the ongoing compliance of operations.
Appointing and removing officers of the company other than those to be appointed or removed by the board.
Organizing the implementation of board resolutions.
Create a culture that enhances productivity, safety, and environment.
Direct company growth and competitiveness through ongoing productivity improvements, unit cost reductions and lean production system efficiencies.
Work with local, municipal, provincial and national Government leaders.
Support Boeing China Country strategy.
Responsible to work closely with Board of Directors and Shareholder to develop and execute company strategy.
Responsible for developing annual operating plans and ensuring operating plan commitments are met for safety, quality, delivery, people and financial performance.
Responsible for board approved annual operating plans and forecasted expenditures including staffing, overtime, capital, and non-labor for the Completion Center.
Financial metrics: shareholder return as measured by revenue, earnings, cash, margins and EBITDA.
Responsible to ensure aircraft conforms to engineering requirements and releases aircraft as safe to fly.
Manages a factory, paint hangars, and other office space totaling approximately 550,000 square feet.
Assure Ethics, Compliance, Training and Governance requirements are met.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor's degree.
15+ years of progressive experience, including significant experience in aviation industry like airlines, MRO, OEM manufacturer, or a related industrial environment.
5+ years of leadership/management experience with responsibility for multiple functions and/or a sizeable organization.
Demonstrated experience leading manufacturing operations and delivering results across safety, quality, delivery, cost, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
Strong business and financial acumen, including experience managing budgets, operating expenses, and business performance.
Proven ability to lead, develop, and engage people and build high-performing teams.
Strong communication, influencing, decision-making, and stakeholder-management skills.
Strong understanding of the China business and regulatory environment.
Fluency in both Mandarin Chinese and English.
Willingness and ability to work on-site in Zhoushan and travel as required.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience) :
Master's degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
Experience as a CEO, General Manager, Managing Director, Site Leader, or equivalent.
Experience leading an organization of 300+ employees.
P&L ownership or significant responsibility for financial performance.
Experience in a joint venture, multinational subsidiary, or other complex stakeholder-driven organization.
Experience working with a Board of Directors and shareholder representatives.
Demonstrated success leading organizational transformation, leadership transition, or cultural change.
Strong track record in operational excellence, Lean/Six Sigma, productivity improvement, quality improvement, and cost reduction.
Experience in aerospace or another highly regulated, complex manufacturing industry.
Experience developing senior leadership teams and establishing a high-performance culture.
