Boeing Canada Winnipeg is seeking Inventory Control Clerk working out of the Winnipeg, Manitoba site. This role falls under classification of Storekeeper in a unionized environment. These positions are for day, evening, or midnight shifts.
A detail-oriented Inventory Control Clerk will manage inventory, oversee factory layouts, and ensure the secure storage, receipt, and dispatch of materials. The successful candidate will ensure accurate inventory levels, reports shortages, comply with regulatory standards, and perform routine audits.
Position Responsibilities:
Receive, store, order, issue and record stores items and materials. Identify and check parts, tools and materials with identification on orders and adjust discrepancies according to established procedures. Attach priorities and record changes in status of orders. Release by schedule, prepare, package and protect parts, tools and materials for transportation, routing inventory throughout plant operations. Do cycle counts to maintain accurate inventory and stock records as required. Input and process data from various source documents using established program formats according to established procedures. Build new or adjust existing shelving to support stock inventory item requirements. Notify supervisor and others of priority and work sequence changes, delays, availability and status information regarding inventory and orders.
Compare quantities and identification of items received with applicable paperwork and/or electronic records and adjust discrepancies according to established procedures.Visually check for and report damage to containers and items.
Prepare, complete and maintain logs, stock tags, reports, forms and manual and computerized records of received, in-stock and released inventory.
Store and record quarantine material for inspection purposes.
Build new shelving and dismantle, or adjust existing racking and shelving to support stocked inventory items.
Mark containers, racks and bins with proper identification, such as part number, quantity of containers, date received, location, vendor name, etc., and assign Stores locations to incoming inventory items.Sort and package materials and prepare documentation for disposal of surplus and/or obsolete inventory as required.
Count inventory, correct inaccuracies and maintain stock records and quantities as required according to established procedures.
Determine availability of and obtain required parts, tools, materials and paperwork to accompany orders into work, utilizing catalogues and other reference material where necessary to order new items. Coordinate with to resolve inventory issues as required.
Attach identification such as hold tags and WHMIS labels to inventory items as required.
Use power or hand cutting tools and equipment for cutting and banding material as required.
Operate powered or manual moving equipment to unload trucks and move personnel, parts, materials, assemblies, etc. within plant and office locations as required.
Operate laser engraver
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at our Winnipeg, Manitoba facility.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
3+ years of experience in inventory management (Storekeeping)
Experience with SAP inventory management or similar software
Experience with Microsoft Office tools (e.g., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, outlook)
Experience with operating Forklift
Must be able to successfully complete and maintain forklift certification
Must possess a valid Driver’s License
Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
Must be capable of lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 35 lbs.
High School Diploma or recognized equivalency
Must be willing and able to work any shift (Day, Evening, Midnight)
Must be legally able to work in Canada
Individual must not pose a risk for safeguarding of controlled goods
Must be eligible to handle US export-controlled data
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Relevant inventory management certificate obtained through an accredited educational institution
Active Forklift license
Active Transportation of Dangerous Goods Certification

Additional Information:
This requisition is for a locally hired position in Canada. The employer is Boeing Canada. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada. Benefits and pay are determined by Canada and are not on Boeing US-based payroll. This is not an expatriate assignment.
Starting Wage: $30.21 per hour + shift premium for evening and midnight shift
