Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Phantom Works Mobility Surveillance and Bombers (PW- MS&B) Team is seeking Systems Engineers to support development and integration of advanced technologies for programs in Tukwila, WA.
The Systems Engineer applies an interdisciplinary, collaborative approach to plan, design, develop and verify complex system and system of systems solutions. Evaluates needs to define system architecture and assure compatibility of all physical, functional and program interfaces. Develops, maintains and identifies improvements for the planning, organization, implementation and monitoring of requirements management processes, systems engineering tools, risk management and technology readiness assessment processes. Resolves cross-functional technical issues. Leads system architects, engineering SMEs and other stakeholders in implementing, developing and managing the MBSE tools and techniques.
The ability to work and lead in a collaborative team environment with multiple engineering disciplines onsite and across sites will be imperative to this role.

Position Responsibilities:
- Participates in cross-functional engineering teams in developing systems to meet project/program commitments, including support of documentation, deliveries and Customer / Stakeholder reviews
- Leverage Systems Engineering experience to shape, implement, maintain, and refine the systems engineering approach
- Assist in implementing MBSE as part of digital engineering to meet customer expectations
- Support execution of Phantom Works Mobility, Surveillance and Bombers systems engineering initiatives and advocate for program needs in planning
- Support interdisciplinary, collaborative approaches to define and manage complex system architecture
- Help to plan implementation of open architectures in existing and developmental systems
- Assist in the transition of technologies from Division Techbase organizations to existing and new platform within Mobility Surveillance and Bombers.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite on Tukwila, WA.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. A U.S. Top Secret/SCI clearance Post Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
- 5+ years of experience involving the following: system architecture development, system requirements, functional decomposition and allocation, integrated design, analysis or verification.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Level 4: 7 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Level 5: 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Masters Degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
- Experience in leadership either formally or informally leading teams in a cross-functional environment
- Experience in a role that required excellent stakeholder management skills including the ability to communicate with and influence people from varying backgrounds, including members of senior leadership teams
- TS/SCI preferred
- Experience in a role with or supporting BCA, BDS, BR&T, Government Operation and/or Boeing International
- Experience in project management and/or cost account management using Earned Value Management techniques.
- Prior history working in a classified environment

Summary pay range:
Level 3: $114,750 – $155,250
Level 4: $138,550 - $187,450
Level 5: $165,750 - $224,250
