Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is looking for an Experienced (Level 3) or Senior/Expert (Level 4 or Level 5) Safety & Airworthiness Specialist (Safety & Regulatory) to work in Tukwila, WA.
As a member of the VC-25B Safety & Certification Team, you will help certify the next Air Force One. Teammates in this role will coordinate with Boeing Integrated Product Teams and U.S. Air Force Airworthiness engineers to integrate the Military Certification of the VC-25B Aircraft.
Primary responsibilities:
Participate in developing optimal certification processes and tools to certify the next Air Force One.
Coordinate with Boeing Integrated Product Teams and US Air Force Airworthiness engineers to define appropriate airworthiness criteria and plans.
Lead the integration and documentation of one or more sections of the Modification Airworthiness Certification Criteria (MACC).
Author one or more integrated compliance summary report aligned to sections of MIL-HDBK-516C.
Develop and deliver training materials, processes and tools to Integrated Product Teams to implement and improve certification processes.
Share progress updates, and improvement ideas, with senior Boeing leaders responsible for aerospace safety and certification.
Support certification requirement database management.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):
Level 3: 5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience):
Level 4: 10+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Level 5: 15+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
An ABET accredited Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a Master’s/PhD in electrical engineering
Experience with Military Certification per MIL-HDBK-516C.
Experience with Military-Commercial Derivative Aircraft (MCDA).
Familiarity with FAA Part 25 certification.
Experience with requirements management tools, especially DOORS.
Experience with generative artificial intelligence (AI) tools.

Summary Pay Range:
Experienced: $98,600 - $133,400
Senior: $121,550 - $164,450
Expert: $145,350 - $196,650
