The Military Commercial Derivative Aircraft (MCDA) BGS maintenance engineering team seeks a skilled Mid-Level Product Support Engineer.
The Product Support Maintenance Engineer will perform a range of activities including analyzing complex engineering designs and design changes to determine maintenance/repair requirements, procedures and instructions. This position will participate in organizational activities that influence the Aerospace Industry. The Mid-Level Product Support Engineer will play a crucial role in providing technical support to internal and external customers, possess a strong technical background in aircraft maintenance analysis, and able to leverage data analysis to drive insights and improve processes across the value stream. The MCDA team supports all derivative programs in the Puget Sound region (P-8, KC-46, VC-25B and E-7A).
Position Responsibilities
Oversee the evaluation of engineering data, in-service reliability data regulations to develop the initial minimum scheduled maintenance requirements, product certification and instructions for continued airworthiness (ICA) by performing MSG-3Analysis
Develop the Maintenance Review Board Report (MRBR), Maintenance Planning Document (MPD), Aircraft Maintenance Manual (AMM), Structural Repair Manual (SRM) and Supplemental Structural Inspection Documents/Programs (SSID/SSIP)
Lead/participate in Industry Steering Committee (ISC) and Working Group meetings Work with Design Engineering and Regulatory through Supplemental Type Certification (STC) and Military Type Certification (MTC)
Analyzes in-service data for Mission Capability and Aircraft Availability
Coordinated with Engineering IPTs and other support and training IPTs
Work with Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) on the creation, tracking and oversight of CITAPS (Commercial Item Transfer at Price) as required.
Additional responsibilities include; budget, scheduling and Basis of Estimate (BOE) activities.
Provide logistics support input for proposal development and participate in negotiations when required.
Influence product designs and processes to ensure supportability and maintainability; develop and use fault isolation procedures and techniques.
Create systems theory descriptions to ensure common understanding of systems and components and conduct engineering analyses to verify the accuracy of maintenance/repair data
Develop and provide technical solutions to customers; evaluate customers' maintenance operations and develop procedures and techniques to allow users to maintain and repair products
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
5+ years of experience gathering, preparing, and analyzing technical data for the development support products including logistics engineering, logistics support analysis, technical publications, support equipment, spares, provisioning, field services, maintenance, etc., supporting product lifecycle
3+ years’ experience analyzing and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications for inclusion into maintenance manuals and technical publications
Experience with leading meetings successfully and able to communicate technical data and information to US military, and foreign customers
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
5+ years' related work experience in the aviation industry
2+ years of experience with commercial derivatives
Maintenance experience on Boeing 737, 767 and 747 highly desired and/or maintenance experience on military heavy aircraft
Strong organizational and communication skills

Summary pay range: $94,350 - $127,650
