Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is looking for an Experienced or Senior Test Engineer - Spacecraft Fluid Systems (Level 3 or 4) to join our team in Kennedy Space Center, Florida.
The PT&L capability within the SI&WS division supports Production, Test, and Launch engineering activities on BDS products. This role will support Test Engineering on the CST-100 Starliner program, and be responsible for test engineering activities across the lifecycle of the vehicle. This work ranges from test procedure authoring to verify vehicle/mission requirements, hands-on test execution on the Starliner spacecraft, task leading of hazardous propellant operations, and providing on-console or in-person engineering support of the fluids subsystems during launch and landing events.

Position Responsibilities:
Performs test engineering activities, including test procedure authoring and execution on spacecraft systems to achieve test, verification, and vehicle production objectives. Subsystems include propulsion, environmental controls & life support, thermal controls, landing & recovery, and structural & mechanical.
Commodity servicing to support Starliner missions including hypergolic propellants, high pressure gas, and thermal control fluid.
Develops and executes steps to perform component removals, replacement, and re-test on systems that contain hypergolic propellants.
Troubleshoots ground support equipment and flight hardware to document and resolve non-conformances
Leak and functional testing of spacecraft fluid systems.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
3+ years of test execution activities on aerospace vehicles
3+ years of test procedure authoring experience
Experience operating high-pressure pneumatic equipment, including to pressurize flight hardware (ask in prescreen)
Willing to work overtime and off shift operations, including 2nd and 3rd shift
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
6+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience loading hypergolic propellants or performing other test related operations on hypergol contaminated propellant systems
Current or previous non-Destructive Test (NDT) Leak Test certification
Current or previous SCAPE/SAR certification

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Experienced (Level 3) Summary pay range: $97,750 - $132,250
Senior (Level 4) Summary pay range: $119,850 - $162,150
