Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for an Associate Product Acceptance Specialist to join our dynamic team in Smithfield, PA.
This position will be responsible for validating assemblies built in accordance to design packages. Successful candidates will have experience working in inspection of assemblies, parts or components in a manufacturing or manufacturing support environment.
This is an on-site position supporting operations for Boeing Smithfield and/or Lemont Furnace locations for 1st and/or 2nd shift depending on business needs. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and may change in the future.
Position Responsibilities:
- Verifies routine product conformance to design requirements
- Provides objective evidence of results
- Performs auditing, surveillance and monitoring
- Identifies and documents discrepancies
- Segregates and controls non-conforming items
- Performs preliminary review and disposition of non-conformance
- Conducts product review with customer during product or process verification
- Identifies repetitive or significant non-conformances and initiates requests for corrective action
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- High School / GED Diploma is required
- 1+ year of experience in the inspection of parts, components, assemblies or units
- Experience reading and understanding engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and specifications
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Experience working with AS9100 and/or similar (QMS) Quality Management System standard
- Experience with the following types of hand tools (calipers, digital optical micrometers, depth gages, thread gages, go no go gages, etc.)
Travel:
This position may require travel up to 10% of the time.
Shift:
This position is for 1st shift or 2nd shift.

Summary pay range: $46,750– $63,250
