The Boeing Korea Engineering and Technology Center (BKETC) is seeking a motivated Software Engineer Intern to join the Software Engineering team in Seoul, Korea. As part of the Boeing Enterprise Software Products and Global Technology team, this internship will provide hands-on experience in the development and deployment of cloud-based software applications used in support of commercial aerospace products.
Position Responsibilities:
- Assist in the development of supervisory control systems for multi-robot manufacturing cells under the guidance of senior engineers
- Support the expansion of current multi-robot supervisory control system to interface with larger-scale manufacturing cells
- Participate in a globally-distributed team to help design, code, and test software
- Attend project meetings to learn about project status and contribute to discussions
- Interact with team members and stakeholders to gather requirements and provide updates
- Support Agile software development methodologies
Basic Qualifications (Required Skill/Experience):
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics, or a related field
- Some experience in software development, including design, coding, and testing (internships, academic projects, or coursework are acceptable)
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills
- A passion for developing high-quality automation and robotics software solutions
- Proficiency in at least one object-oriented programming language (e.g., C++, C#, Python)
- A motivated attitude with a willingness to learn and contribute to team success
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Familiarity with robotics systems and multi-robot coordination concepts
- Basic knowledge of industrial automation platforms and robot programming
- Interest in scheduling algorithms, optimization, or operations research
- Understanding of manufacturing processes, particularly automated assembly operations
