The BGS Quality organization is seeking a experienced Quality Specialist to support the implementation and continuous improvement of SMS/QMS activities for BGS Quality Organization. In this capacity, the selected candidate will work with various teams and leaders across BGS as well as other functional partners (Safety & Manufacturing, Lean, Engineering, and Supply Chain) to integrate and manage priority activities in both the SMS, QMS and other special projects.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed locations (or alternate Boeing site).
Position Responsibilities:
Support execution and integration of SMS/QMS across BGS and interfaces with SMS Boards across BGS Division
Provide project management of organizational and technical strategies for SMS and QMS integration, and risk management.
Support Safety Risk management events (SRM) for identified hazards
Engage with peers, managers, senior leaders to ensure execution of activities are on track
Develop and communicate quality and safety metrics within QMS/SMS Quality core team and its interfacing organizations
Conducts research, compiles and analyzes performance reports and process control statistics to continuously improve process capability
Collaborate with the BGS SMS team to promote a positive safety culture, employee reporting, and an atmosphere of trust where people are encouraged, and even rewarded, for providing product safety and quality related information
Seeks and provides education and networking on SMS and interaction with SMS boards.
Monitoring external environment and interfacing organizations for impacts to QMS and SMS risk.
Assessing SMS risk of process changes and external regulations
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
3+ years of experience in Quality
Experience working with Quality Standards
Experience with Safety Management Systems (SMS)
3+ years of experience with project management
Ability and willingness to travel up to 25% of the time
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Bachelor, Master or Doctorate degree from an accredited course of study
Previous work in aerospace, manufacturing, quality or another highly regulated industry
Experience working multiple projects
Experience establishing and conducting training

Summary Pay Range: $100,300 - $135,700
