The Boeing Company is seeking a Senior Electrical Test & Evaluation Engineer to join our team in Seattle, WA. This position will develop and maintain hardware-in-the-loop integration embedded software in support of validation and verification tests for all Boeing commercial and commercially derived military flight controls and avionics systems.

Position Responsibilities Include:
Design, develop, release, maintain, and troubleshoot embedded real-time hardware and software systems used as the interface between the simulation and the real avionics and test bench hardware in Aeronautical Systems Integration & Test (ASIT) laboratories
Lead work with customers to develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements
Lead and coordinate work to analyze and translate test systems requirements into embedded system architecture, hardware and software designs and interface specifications
Lead work to test and validate to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements
Solve problems concerning and provides other support of fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle
Research technology advances for potential application to company business needs
Make recommendations for technological investments
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
6+ years of experience in working with key software development processes including system development lifecycle (SDLC), Agile software development, SCRUM, Waterfall and continuous integration for software development in a program management capacity
5+ years of experience working with and/or developing embedded systems
5+ years of experience working with suppliers or vendors
5+ years of experience developing software for VxWorks or other real-time operating systems
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Master’s degree in electrical or computer engineering with an emphasis on real-time embedded systems
5+ years of hands-on experience with VME and non-VME (PCIe, PXI) based embedded systems hardware
5+ years of experience working with suppliers to evaluate and select digital, analog, and aviation bus protocol I/O cards to meet project-specific requirements
5+ years of experience with C programming language and working knowledge of Linux development environment
Proficient with commercial and military aviation data communication protocols (ARINC 664/AFDX, ARINC 629, ARINC 429, MIL-STD-1553, etc.)
Thorough knowledge of real-time operating systems and their timing/interrupt/synchronization intricacies and constraints
Experience with real-time test systems
Basic knowledge of modeling and simulation

Summary pay range: $128,350 – $173,650
