The Boeing Company is seeking a Senior Communications Specialist to play a central role in advancing Boeing's enterprise communications strategy, focusing on building and growing relationships with traditional journalists and independent news creators, developing strategies and distributing content to amplify Boeing's message across traditional and emergent external communications channels.
Responsibilities include identifying, cultivating and maintaining relationships with journalists and news creators, ensuring alignment with brand messaging, campaign goals and Boeing’s values. Developing and implementing communication plans and tracking performance analytics to improve communications outcomes.
The ideal candidate will demonstrate good judgment, maintain discretion, take initiative and collaborate effectively with colleagues and partners throughout the organization.

Position Responsibilities:
News Creator Identification and Relationship Management:
Researching and identifying relevant news creators based on target audience, brand and values alignment, and campaign goals
Building and maintaining strong relationships with news creators, acting as the primary point of contact
Supporting contracts and agreements with influencers
Content Strategy and Creation:
Collaborating with news creators and communicators to develop creative content ideas that resonate with target audiences, align with brand messaging and contribute to trustworthy reporting of our news and events
Ensuring content is high-quality, engaging and aligns with brand voice and guidelines
Managing content calendars and ensuring timely content delivery
Campaign Planning and Execution:
Developing and implementing communications and marketing campaigns aligned with business objectives
Coordinating campaign logistics, such as product seeding, content reviews and campaign launches
Monitoring campaign performance and adjusting, as needed
Media Relations:
Developing and executing proactive enterprise media relations strategies to secure accurate coverage, pitch story ideas and coordinate interviews, while building and maintaining strong relationships with reporters, editors and influencers
Serving as a primary point of contact for media inquiries, draft press materials (press releases, media advisories, talking points), monitor coverage, and collaborate with internal teams to prepare spokespeople and support issues or crisis communications
Performance Tracking and Reporting:
Tracking key metrics such as reach, engagement and conversions
Analyzing campaign data to identify what's working and what needs improvement
Generating reports and providing insights to internal team members
Keeping abreast of the latest trends in news creator marketing and social media
Learning about new platforms, tools, and best practices
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
5+ years of experience working with external media and news creator marketing
5+ years of experience working in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines
5+ years of experience in Communications (including, but not limited to: Corporate Communications, News Media, and Public Relations)
5+ years of experience developing communications strategies including executive speeches, employee communications, news releases, videos and web content
5+ years of experience developing and maintaining relationships and partnerships with senior management, customers, stakeholders, peers and partners
5+ years of experience in public relations
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Bachelor’s degree or higher
10+ years of experience in communications
Demonstrate strong leadership and the ability to influence others to drive results
Experience creating and implementing strategic communications plans

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range: $95,200 - $147,200
