Boeing Defense Space & Security (BDS) is seeking an innovative Product Security Engineering (PSE) Manager to support cybersecurity engineering on aircraft programs in Seattle and Tukwila, WA.
In this leadership role, you will manage a team responsible for developing, implementing, and sustaining product security and resiliency throughout the full product lifecycle—from requirements and design through testing, production, and support.
You will set operational goals, develop and execute project plans, manage resources, and lead process improvements to ensure the security and integrity of Boeing’s aerospace products. Building strong relationships with customers, stakeholders, suppliers, and your team will be key to driving mission success. You will also provide technical oversight and ensure alignment with organizational standards and best practices.

Position Responsibilities:
In this role, you will be responsible for a diverse engineering team and ensuring that our engineers and analysts are ready and able to deliver secure and resilient products and services to our customers. You would be charged with the planning, execution and delivery of product security features, capabilities, and products. Your responsibilities will include:
Lead and manage a team responsible for developing, implementing, and sustaining product security and resiliency throughout the full product lifecycle, including requirements, design, build, test, production, and support.
Develop and execute project and process plans, implement policies and procedures, and set operational goals to ensure engineering integrity, quality, and timely program execution.
Manage program Statements of Work (SOW), deliverables, cost, schedule, and risk using Earned Value Management System (EVMS) methodologies.
Provide technical oversight and approval of engineering approaches, products, and processes, including supplier and subcontractor management.
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, stakeholders, partners, and team members to support program objectives.
Serve as the primary Product Security Engineering technical lead, accountable for planning, organizing, and executing activities across assigned programs and organizational structures.
Plan, coordinate and perform program operating tempo activities such as status reviews, change management, risk and issue management, schedule updates, and performance reporting.
Integrate security schedules and requirements across IT, test, and security teams to ensure alignment with program milestones and certification requirements.
Ensure engineering quality of security architectures, designs, implementations, verifications, and tests, delivering contractual requirements and coordinating with program management and contracts as needed.
Participate in key governance and coordination forums including engineering reviews and cybersecurity working groups.
Allocate resources effectively, adjust priorities to meet changing demands, and drive continuous process improvements.
Foster an inclusive and collaborative culture that encourages diverse perspectives, open communication, and proactive identification of safety, quality, and schedule concerns.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position requires an active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)
Must obtain a Security+, a CISSP certification or equivalent Cyber Security certification within 6 months of employment in this role.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
5+ years of experience in leading technical teams.
2+ years of experience in Risk, Issues, and Opportunity Management.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
This position requires the ability to obtain, at a minimum, a Security+ Certification (CISSP is preferred).
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
5+ years of experience applying systems engineering principles during the development of complex hardware/software solutions on an aerospace platform.
3+ years of experience factoring and applying confidentiality, integrity and availability considerations in all phases of the system development lifecycle.
2+ years of experience in Earned Value Management.
Active Sec+ or CISSP/CISSM certification.
3+ years of experience leading multiple parallel development schedules; managing complex integrated schedules or projects.
The ability to obtain clearance for Special Access Programs.
Active U.S. Top Secret security clearance.

Summary Initial pay range: $165,750- $224,250
