The Engineering Test & Technology (ET&T) organization is seeking a Lead Systems and Tools Engineer to join our Supply Chain System & Tools team in Seattle, WA.
ET&T Supply Chain leads the strategy and execution of procurement for ET&T. The largest internal customers are Boeing Test & Evaluation (BT&E) and Boeing Research & Technology (BR&T). ET&T Supply Chain System & Tools is responsible for developing the strategy and requirements for tool enhancements that increase efficiency and improve quality for tools users. Users range from Engineers, Program Managers, Managers, Executives, Buyers, and more. We are seeking a highly skilled Technical Team Lead to lead the development of new tools and enhance existing applications. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in soliciting customer needs, developing requirements, systems analysis, and project management. Familiarity with procurement, materials management, production planning, bills of materials, or other parts of supply chain are ideal. This role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to gather, analyze, and document requirements, ensuring that our internal systems align with business objectives and enhance operational efficiency.
Position Responsibilities Include:
- Requirements Gathering and Analysis:
- Collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders to collect, analyze, and document business needs for internal systems and tools
- Conduct workshops, interviews, and surveys to understand user needs and translate them into clear, actionable requirements
- System Design and Specification:
- Develop detailed specifications and use cases for system enhancements and new tool implementations
- Work closely with software developers and architects to ensure that requirements are accurately translated into technical solutions
- Stakeholder Engagement:
- Act as the primary liaison between business units and IT teams, facilitating communication and ensuring alignment of project goals
- Present strategy, status, and recommendations to senior management and executive stakeholders
- Project Management:
- Lead and manage requirements-related activities throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to quality standards
- Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to stakeholders on requirements status and potential risks
- Quality Assurance:
- Develop and execute test plans to validate that systems and tools meet specified requirements
- Participate in user acceptance testing (UAT) and gather feedback for continuous improvement
- Documentation and Training:
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including requirements specifications, process flows, and user manuals
- Provide training and support to end-users to ensure effective utilization of internal systems and tools
- Continuous Improvement:
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and system enhancements to drive efficiency and effectiveness within the supply chain organization
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices in requirements engineering and supply chain management
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
- 5+ years of experience with engineering processes for the development of complex test requirements, objectives, evaluation criteria and analysis requirements
- 5+ years of experience leading or managing a team in a multi-skill discipline
- Experience with Supply Chain Processes
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Experience with project management methodologies and tools is a plus.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), Certified Scrum Master (CSM)) are advantageous

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range: $157,250 – $212,750
