The Boeing Company’s Information Data Technology & Security (IDT&S) organization is currently seeking an Information Technology Manager to join the Manufacturing & Quality team in Seattle, WA; Everett, WA; Kent, WA; Portland, OR; or Renton, WA.
Boeing’s Manufacturing Execution Systems used by Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) (Velocity, Common Manufacturing Execution System (CMES), Manufacturing Operations Management (MOM), and Digital Production Pulse (DPP)) are the digital heartbeat of our factories at Boeing. In this role, you will lead a high-performing team responsible for the full lifecycle delivery of these systems. As the team leader, you will drive execution of critical business priorities while collaborating with key stakeholders to craft and implement a strategic roadmap. Position Responsibilities:
Lead and support general management responsibilities for your direct reports including team meetings one-on-ones flow-down input into performance management reviews and other related activities
Support the Manufacturing Execution System development team operating rhythm including status reviews business process reviews priority reviews and addressing risks issues and opportunities or help needed
Support weekly reviews with Dassault Systems
Manage review and approval including go or no-go decision for releases such as Commercial Manufacturing Execution System, Velocity, EMOM, and Digital Production Pulse
Support Boeing Commercial Airplanes release content approver for the Manufacturing and Quality organization
Focal point for 737 returns to rate projects in the Manufacturing and Quality Information Technology organization with weekly project status report out to 737 Information Technology business partner team requiring engagement with other managers in our organization to collect understand and report out or represent status in the 737 Information Technology business partner review
Support long range business planning to identify resource and funding needs for the BCA Manufacturing Execution Systems
Own and lead any management related actions flowing down to team as applicable for support
Respond to application incidents and outages to communicate impacts and ensure collaboration and support from development team as needed
Balance multiple priorities while empowering the team to make decisions
Demonstrate good communication and collaboration skills to ensure stakeholders are engaged where appropriate issues and outages are escalated as needed and agreement is reached on priorities and roadmap
Provide oversight support and coordination on any approvals including access and account requests enterprise technology services terms of reference approval updates Tata Consultancy Services and Dassault Systems invoice approvals badge and account renewals for purchased services resources and performance management close-outs
Increase the overall Agile maturity and performance of teams practice and encourage Agile mindset and behaviors support Agile teams with various levels of Agile maturity and actively work to improve those teams in Agile practices to improve first time quality and productivity
Work towards the success of Information Technology transformation demonstrating adaptability and growth mindset
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
5+ years of experience within information technology
5+ years of experience leading agile teams, including formal training and coaching
5+ years of experience in influencing and building strong relationships with stakeholders and senior leaders across functions
5+ years of experience working with software development lifecycles
5+ years of experience in a production-related discipline such as Manufacturing, Quality, Production Engineering, Supplier Management, and/or Supplier Quality
Experience in managing product backlog, writing user stories, and managing releases
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Bachelor’s degree or higher
Experience with Manufacturing or Quality systems and/or processes
Experience in managing product backlog, writing user stories, and managing releases
Experience managing budget and financial plan for the teams
Experience in Agile with Digital Transformation Environment
Experience with user-centric design practices
Experience with modernization implementation of DevSecOps and Cloud technologies
Experience as a manager
Experience working with external sourcing partners

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range: $131,750 – $178,250
