The Boeing Company is currently seeking an Enterprise Knowledge Management Lead to join the team in Seattle, WA or El Segundo, CA.
As the Enterprise Knowledge Management Lead, you will play a critical role in bridging the gap in data literacy by focusing on practical, functional solutions that drive business impact. You will collaborate across the enterprise and business units to optimize data indexing and query tuning, while enhancing front-end development using React.js and JavaScript. Success in this role requires a unique blend of strong technical expertise and exceptional customer-facing skills, enabling you to translate complex data challenges into clear, actionable solutions that empower teams and advance organizational goals. Position Responsibilities:
Lead Data@Boeing, the enterprise Data Citizen Community of Practice, and stand up Community of Excellence for Data Practitioners, including strategy, content planning, facilitation, and growth of membership and engagement
Design, deliver, and scale data literacy curricula (e.g., foundations, data governance, stewardship, data quality, data ethics/privacy, analytics literacy) tailored to diverse audiences
Partner with Engineering, Data Governance, Analytics, IT, Security, Privacy, Legal, HR/Learning, and business units to align education with data strategy, policies, standards, and stewardship practices
Advocate for data literacy and governance across the enterprise; create clear narratives, visuals, and talking points that translate technical concepts into business value
Develop change management and communications plans to drive adoption of data governance policies, standards, and tooling (e.g., command media, business processes, catalogs, glossaries, lineage, quality)
Stand up and manage channels and forums for the community (events, office hours, newsletters, discussion boards, learning pathways), and curate self-service resources using online and blended learning
Establish, survey and track program KPIs (reach, completion, proficiency, adoption, sentiment); produce executive-ready reporting and insights to guide continuous improvement
Coordinate with vendor partners and internal teams on learning platforms, content development, and enablement tooling; manage budget and contracts as appropriate
Ensure alignment with compliance, privacy, and security requirements in all learning and advocacy materials
Benchmark against industry best practices; bring external perspective to evolve Boeing’s data literacy and governance maturity
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
5+ years of experience leading Data Governance Programs delivering certified data products
5+ years of experience in business and/or organizational change management
5+ years of experience with structuring of metadata schemas and controlled vocabularies, including taxonomies and ontologies
5+ years of experience with data literacy including driving organizational change and interpreting metrics while providing insights and recommendations based on data governance KPIs
5+ years of experience working with privacy or data protection laws and regulations
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work or military experience
Experience leading data literacy or data governance enablement in a large, complex, or regulated enterprise
Experience with analytics and data platforms and practices (e.g., SQL, BI/visualization, cloud data platforms, data quality/MDM)
Experience with launching and scaling Communities of Practice, including content strategy, events, and digital community tools
Experience with crafting compelling enablement materials, playbooks, and executive briefs
Experience with creating graphic enhancements to text

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range: $118,150 – $159,850
