The Northwest Systems Laboratory organization within Boeing Test & Evaluation (BT&E) is seeking an Associate Electrical & Electronic Technician to join our Test Systems Support team in Seattle, WA. The Northwest Systems Laboratory organization comprises the majority of systems testing for Boeing Commercial Airplanes and Military Derivatives. The organization supports all types of systems testing including Flight Controls, Cabin Systems, Avionics, Flight Decks, Electrical, Mechanical, and Hydraulics Labs.
Position Responsibilities Include:
Ensure safe and efficient operations, including maintenance of configuration and functionality required by missions’ systems hardware and software engineering teams
Follow lab procedures for handling classified equipment and working in a closed area
Provide calibration and troubleshoot aircraft systems using various general purpose test equipment and special test equipment
Follow verbal and written instruction in the form of engineering directions and drawings, work orders and test documents
Document own work using Pick-ups and TRS’s (Troubleshooting Record Sheets), as required
Work with engineering, QA and vendors to repair and modify electronic and aircraft systems
Support program short term and long-term goals, interacting with program engineering and management using clear verbal and written communication to ensure program goals are met
Work under general supervision
Support the generation of calibration procedures for various aircraft system benches
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Experience in a laboratory environment and/or electronic test and troubleshooting
Associate's degree or higher
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience in the basic understanding of Unix/Linux based operating systems
Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
Experience with computer networking and network protocols
Experience using computer programming skills and knowledge
Experience interacting with customers to coordinate testing requirements and schedule

Summary pay range Associate Level: $51,000 - $69,000
