Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for a Power Systems Service Engineer (Associate or Experienced) to join their team in Seal Beach, CA.
Position Overview:
As an Electrical Power Systems Service Engineer, your primary responsibility will be to assist airline customers in resolving real-time technical problems and issues on Boeing Commercial airplanes. This includes answering general systems functionality inquiries, resolving short to medium-term problem reports, investigating long-term issues, and providing proactive fleet guidance. You will collaborate with operators to recover Aircraft on Ground (AOG) and address other time-sensitive situations affecting operations. This may require troubleshooting either remotely or on-site with the operator to return a grounded airplane to revenue service. All tasks will be accomplished utilizing the latest Boeing tools, technology, data analytics, and real-time fleet monitoring data.
Boeing Customer Support operates on a 24/7/365 basis. Employees must be willing to work flexible hours and/or non-standard shifts to support our fleets. International and domestic travel may be required.
Position Responsibilities:
Provides technical, design, and information support for issues related to basic production, product support, or in-service operations.
Troubleshoots basic system problems in accordance with operational protocols.
Supports the creation and/or provides basic technical documentation (e.g. Fleet Team Digest articles, Service Letters, Drawings, Specifications, Data Sets, Test Requirements Documents, Manuals) in accordance with engineering processes and procedures for internal reference or external delivery.
Supports the review of technical design, analysis, and production by examining documentation, participating in design reviews, and observing tests and audits to ensure compliance.
Assists with problem investigations to provide engineering design dispositions for discrepancies.
Supports and/or leads research into technical, operational, and quality issues that cannot be resolved by the customer.
Assists in designing and/or providing analysis of interim and final engineering solutions to return airplanes to revenue service.
Works with and possibly directs cross-functional teams to conduct root cause analysis and develop dispositions for complex design non-conformances.
Assists in developing customer correspondence for the continued safe operation and maintenance of equipment.
Assesses complex system event reports to determine potential safety issues.
Must be able to travel to customer airlines to lead technical and executive review meetings and address complex technical issues
Work Authorization:
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Seal Beach, CA.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
Able and willing to work off shift (24/7/365-day operation. Saturday and Sunday may be required workdays)
Willing and able to travel 10% of the time domestically and internationally
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
3+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
3+ years of engineering experience
Experience presenting to stakeholders
Ability to collaborate with multiple team functions
Willingness to expand into technical areas without prior experience
Desire to continuously improve our airplanes
Good verbal and written communication skills

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary Pay Range:
Associate (Level 2): $94,350 - $127,650
Experienced (Level 3): $114,750 - $155,250
