Boeing Brazil is seeking Senior Structural Design Engineer, with knowledge of Product Development, reporting to the Structures Manager, working in São José dos Campos office. 

The Senior Structural Design Engineer will join Boeing Structures team to develop innovative solutions for Boeing commercial programs.

Position Responsibilities:

•    Leads the identification, architecture, development and implementation of Structural designs.
•    Perform Structural Design Benchmark studies for new solutions.
•    Develop structural architecture from first principles and conceptual ideas.
•    Develops new design/analysis processes and tools to improve the effectiveness, quality and efficiency of the development effort.
•    Investigates emerging technologies to develop concepts for future product designs to meet projected requirements.
•    Develops, maintains and modifies structural and component designs, using 3-D Computer Aided Design tools and/or other design methods, to provide product definition to other engineering groups, production operations, suppliers and external customers throughout the product lifecycle. 
•    Occasional travel may be required in support of the program and customer.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite.  The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

•    Must be legally able to work in Brazil.
•    Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, with degrees in Aeronautical, Civil, Mechanical, or Structural Engineering.
•    Must be registered or eligible to register with the Engineering and Agronomy Regional Council (Conselho Regional de Engenharia e Agronomia - CREA). Applicable to Brazilian, recent engineering graduates within 6 months and foreign engineers when the employer is willing visa sponsor. 
•    Proficient in both verbal and written communications skills in the English Language.
•    Experience with aerospace structures design.
•    Experience with structural design principles for aircraft.
•    Knowledge of manufacturing and assembly process.
•    Experience with Material selection criteria.
•    Experience in CAD/CAM software (CATIA V5, SolidWorks, Siemens NX).

Preferred Qualifications (Education/Experience):

•    Experience validating or verifying structural models.
•    Experience using excellent verbal and written communication skills to communicate with leaders and colleagues in an engineering environment.
•    Experience with structural analysis.
•    Experience with analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
•    Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
•    Experience with design and analysis of metallic and/or composite materials.
•    Experience providing product definitions and technical support in collaborative environment to groups, suppliers and external customers throughout the product lifecycle.
•    Positive & proactive mindset, highly motivated team member willing to manage multiple assignments and work with a sense of urgency.
•    Proactive collaboration with customer, build positive relationships.
