Boeing Brazil is seeking Senior Electronic Systems Design & Analysis Engineer, reporting to the Avionics Team Manager, working out of the São José dos Campos office.
The Senior Electronic Systems Design & Analysis Engineer will join the Boeing Commercial Aviation engineering group being member of the Avionics team to support Flight Management System development activities in several different platforms, including legacy development programs.
Position Responsibilities:
· Develop and document complex electronic and electrical system requirements.
· Analyzes and translates requirements into system, hardware and software designs and interface specifications.
· Test and validate to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements.
· Monitors supplier performance to ensure system integration and compliance with requirements.
· Solves problems concerning and provides other support of fielded hardware and software over the entire product lifecycle.
· Authors and peer reviews Functional Hazard Analysis (FHA), Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA), and System Safety Assessment (SSA) documents.
· Research specific technology advances for potential application to company business needs.
This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
· Must have existing rights to work in Brazil.
· Must have a degree in Engineering.
· Proficient in both verbal and written communications skills in the English Language.
· Must be registered or eligible to register with the Engineering and Agronomy Regional Council (Conselho Regional de Engenharia e Agronomia - CREA).
· Experience with Flight Management System.
Preferred Qualifications (Education/Experience):
· Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, with degrees in Aeronautical, Automation and Control, Electrical or Electronic Engineering.
· Experience with product development life cycle (e.g., V-model application on ARP-4754), requirements management and design review.
· Experience with Flight Management System.
· Experience with environmental qualification process.
· Experience with Functional Hazard Analysis (FHA), Fault Tree Analysis (FTA), Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA), System Safety Assessment (SSA), and ARP4761 Safety Assessment.
· Experience with product certification process.

This requisition is for a locally hired position in Brazil. Candidates must have current legal authorization to live and work in Brazil. Benefits and pay are determined at the local level and are not part of Boeing U.S. based payroll.
