Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is seeking an Illustrated Parts Catalog Senior Manager (Level L) - Commercial IPC / IPD to join our team based in San Diego, CA; and Seal Beach, CA.
Position Overview:
The Senior Manager will be responsible for Commercial Illustrated Parts Catalog/Data (IPC/IPD) production of all Boeing 7-series aircraft. The IPC/IPD is an Operational Requirement intended for use in the identification and requisition of “allowable” replaceable aircraft parts and units. This IPC is customized according to each aircraft’s allowable configuration requirements as defined by the delivered configuration with approved part interchangeability / optional part applicability. The IPC Aircraft Configuration continues to be updated throughout the life cycle of the aircraft through Supplement Type Certificate (STC) changes, service bulletin’s, COC’s, and part interchangeability / substitution updates. The position oversees a global team of over 500 employees in Southern California (San Diego & Seal Beach), Chennai India, and Kyiv Ukraine transforming engineering and supplier data into maintenance friendly iSpec2200 and S1000D compliant IPC/IPD’s. Over 14,000 IPC/IPD Products are published annually.

Manager IPC/IPD In-Production Position Responsibilities:
Responsible for a global team transforming Engineering, Supplier Data, and STEPS Planner Reports into maintenance friendly iSpec2200 and S1000D compliant IPC/IPD’s required for new 7- series aircraft deliveries.
Responsible for IPC/IPD Customer 24/7 Facing activities including responding to all customer and Boeing Field Service BCS inquiries via the Boeing Communication System (BCS).
Responsible for all Customer Working Together Team (WTT) activities for improving the IPC/IPD product content with our customers.
Responsible for all IPC/IPD Quality in the US and Global locations
Team comprises of 6 U.S. K-Level Front Line Managers and approximately 100 U.S. and 150 Global Engineering Data Authors.
Coordinates with the IPC/IPD Project Management Organization (PMO) for monitoring Global performance to plan, making Statement of Work (SOW) assignment changes as necessary to meet all scheduled commitments. Ensuring IPC/IPD’s are complete and on-time to meet aircraft deliveries.
Role of Train Leader within your organization. Managing skills, ensuring technical excellence and development.
Role requires a flexible schedule for coordinating with global teams (different time zones) and meeting customer commitments.
Work Authorization:
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at San Diego and Seal Beach, CA.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
15+ years of technical aerospace experience along with working knowledge of Aerospace Engineering.
5+ years of previous leadership experience.
5+ years of Supplier Data Analysis or Procurement experience
5+ years of experience working with ATA100, ATA iSpec2200, ASD-STE100, and ASD S1000D specifications
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Working knowledge of the IPC/IPD, how its produced and used by our customers.
5+ years of experience with Boeing engineering design tools (PDM etc.)
Experience with PDM, ENOVIA, BRIDGE, STEPS, and IPC systems.
Demonstrated ability to lead large teams whose physical location may be not centralized (San Diego, Seal Beach, and Global)
Demonstrated organization skills with the ability to manage multiple aircraft model programs and priorities concurrently. (Previous Project Management experience a plus)
Demonstrated above average oral and written communication skills.
Knowledgeable in Lean principals and has sponsored, led or participated in Accelerated Improvement Workshops (AIW’s) and Value Stream Mapping Workshops.
Previous experience as a Change Leader (implementing change).
Problem Solving and Conflict Resolution experience.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary Pay Range:
$154,700 - $209,300
