Boeing Defense, Space, and Security (BDS) seeks experienced Senior Project Engineer to join the Cruise Missile Systems (CMS) team located in St. Charles, Missouri.
In this role, you will serve as the project manager and primary leadership interface for the one or more production programs, which include the Joint Common Test Set (JCTS), Army Tactical Cruise Missile System (ATACMS), Harpoon Interface Adapter Kit (HIAK), Harpoon and SLAM ER Lot Production, and major proposal efforts supporting these programs. As a Production Program Integrator, you will be responsible for day-to-day program execution and support the respective Program Manager(s). This will afford you significant development opportunities through internal leadership engagement as well as project management.

Each of these production programs are critical product lines for the CMS business, and will be produced for, installed and employed in, and sustained by customer operators around the world and Boeing production teams onsite.
Position Responsibilities:
- Working with internal departments on contract performance using Boeing Program Management Best Practices (PMBP) and Earned Value Management (EVM)
- Monitoring work order and material purchase requisition creation and burndown, identifying and tracking procurement and build progress, and address work stoppages in Boeing assembly areas and supply chains, to ensure on time delivery of each effort in execution
- Managing deliverables by defining plans for risk mitigation, issues, and opportunities; and monitoring baseline plans to assess project performance, productivity, and lessons learned. Navigating inputs and constraints between hardware, software, integration & test, and other contributing functions to the culmination of complete delivery
- Establishing priorities based on customer needs; and providing technical, business, and integration leadership for the development and execution of the project plans
- Communicating regularly with internal stakeholders to keep them informed of significant events, to respond to customer verbal and written actions including leading proposal development efforts, and developing Statements of Work (SOW) to satisfy ongoing and new business requirements
- Informing internal stakeholders of program concerns, keeping internal departments apprised of customer expectations, and keeping all stakeholders apprised of program status
- Ensuring that the customer has a fully supported weapon system by reviewing pre-contract requirements, supporting negotiations, and ensuring the contract final form meets the needs of Direct Commercial Sales customers, PMA-201, international customers/end users, and Boeing
- Traveling domestically and/or internationally to support program execution (up to 10% of the time)
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim or final U.S. Secret Clearance post-start is required
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
- 5+ years of experience providing technical leadership or project management to cross-functional engineering projects
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Experience with Enterprise or Manufacturing Resource Planning (ERP/MRP) workflows
- Experience in an AS9100 production or manufacturing process environment
- Experience with defense procurement, supply chain, or supplier management business practices
- Experience with complex product acceptance testing and/or component qualification testing protocols
- Experience managing complex proposals, contractual baselines, and implementing changes through contract modifications
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range for (Level 4) Senior: $114,750.00 - $155,250.00
