The Boeing Company is seeking Senior Estimator (Labor and/or Material) to join our team in Saint Charles, MO.. This position offers the opportunity to enhance a candidate’s knowledge of the acquire process, as well as the overall execution of the business.
Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) in Saint Charles has a broad portfolio of programs and customers, both domestic and international. In this role, you will be responsible for the development of budgetary and formal estimates (labor, material, travel, etc.) and cost/price proposals for new business activities, contract changes and follow-on work.
Position Responsibilities:
Leads/oversees development of complex estimates and prices from complex technical requirements through the design, build and support stages of the program
Leads/oversees development and application of pricing strategies using innovative computational techniques
Leads/oversees business proposals, evaluates and makes recommendations based on complex requests for proposal and substantiates estimates and pricing
Leads/oversees development of complex estimating and pricing methods
Develops and maintains complex estimating and pricing models
Leads and performs complex analyses and provides recommendations in support of pricing and estimating (risk, financial, competitive, etc.).
Leads the development/application/maintenance of unique and non-unique rates and factors for estimating
Leads compliance activities, policy and procedure development, deployment of new systems/tools, training development/delivery and internal audits
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor’s degree or higher degree
5+ years of experience in a finance related position such as Financial Operations, Cost Management, Accounting, Estimating, Financial Planning, Contracts or Procurement Financial Analysis (PFA)
Experience with Truth in Negotiations Act (TINA) requirements/U.S. Government contracts
5+ years experience with the Microsoft Excel application using: formulas, VLookups, pivot tables, charts, filters, and linking worksheets
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience with and knowledge of United States Government Cost Accounting Standards and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)
Experiencing performing risk analysis
Strong problem-solving skills with the initiative to work independently or collaboratively on cross-functional teams
Quick learner of new systems, tools, and estimating techniques, able to gain program knowledge in dynamic environments
Effective communicator and coordinator with experience engaging external customers and multiple internal functions (Finance, Supplier Management, technical disciplines), including presenting to senior leadership
Proven time-management ability to meet tight schedules with first-time quality

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary Pay Range: $106,250 - $143,750
