An exciting opportunity has become available to join Boeing Engineering Poland as an Structural Analysis Engineer in BCA Customer Support Wide Body Airframe Team, based in our Rzeszow office.
On this position, you will provide technical solutions to a wide range of difficult problems. Develop solutions that are imaginative, thorough, practicable, and consistent with organization objectives. You will represent the organization by providing solutions to technical issues associated with specific projects.
Primary Responsibilities:
Perform structural analysis of aircraft structures (airframe: wing and fuselage). Structural analysis includes calculation of loads, static and fatigue analyses.
Evaluate structural integrity of aircraft components by way of classical hand calculations.
Generate documentation (stress check notes) to report analysis results to support certification and qualification processes.
Support in-service products by investigating failures and analyzing improvements.
Work with regulatory framework (FAA) for warranting safety and regulatory compliance.
Represents the engineering community in the build through postproduction environment.
Technical rigor and focus on excellence.
Plans, performs and leads detailed structural analysis (static strength, durability/fatigue and damage tolerance).
Develop new methods, tools, and designs to support future programs.
Provide coaching across all levels.
Determines technical objectives of assignment.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering (with a focus on Mechanical, Civil, Aerospace Aeronautical or Material Sciences).
5+ years’ work experience in structural analysis engineering.
Strong knowledge of engineering fundamentals such as material properties, free-body diagrams, load path, structural loads, joints and structural analysis methods.
Strong knowledge of strength of metallic and composite materials (hand calculation, analytical methods) approach.
Strong knowledge of aircraft structure design philosophy.
Experience in structural analysis of metallic or composite airframe structures.
Experience in static and fatigue analyses.
Solid communicator, Upper-intermediate level or higher in both written and verbal English.
Readiness to work with multi-functional team in a flexible schedule (weekends/holidays support, overtime, shifted work schedule) to meet the business needs.
Work from office minimum 3 days a week.
Readiness for business trips – up to 25% of working time.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience in static, fatigue and damage tolerance analysis.
Proven experience in structures engineering.
Experience in leading a team of stress analysts.
Knowledge of Boeing aircraft structures.
Knowledge of finite element method approach.
Experience in FAA regulations (14 CFR Part 25 & 26).
Experience in CAD/CAE systems (Catia, Nastran/ Patran).
