The Boeing Test & Evaluation (BT&E) organization is seeking a Test & Evaluation Engineering Manager to lead our team within the Aero Test capability at the Boeing Vertical/Short Takeoff and Landing Wind Tunnel (BVWT) in Ridley Park, PA. The selected candidate will be responsible for overseeing the operation of the BVWT, a closed-circuit single-return atmospheric tunnel featuring a variable configuration test section of 20' x 20', a Mach range of up to 0.3. This facility supports wind tunnel testing for both fixed-wing platforms and rotary-wing aircraft models, as well as non-aeronautical vehicles and structures.
Position Responsibilities Include:
- Manage a team of engineers and technicians performing activities across multiple engineering disciplines, ensuring effective collaboration and communication
- Develop and execute project and process plans, implementing policies and procedures while setting operational goals to enhance test capabilities
- Manage, develop, and motivate employees, promoting a culture of excellence and accountability within the team
- Acquire necessary resources for projects and processes, provide technical management of suppliers and lead continuous process improvements
- Foster strong relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and direct reports to ensure alignment and support for testing initiatives
- Provide oversight and approval of technical approaches, products, and processes, ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards
- Oversee the financial performance of the BVWT, including managing the budget, performance to plan on direct statements of work, and ensuring effective repair and maintenance of the facility
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
- 3+ years of experience leading or managing cross-functional or cross-organizational teams within engineering and/or test
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Experience leading or conducting complex flight and/or lab testing in an integrated test team environment
- Experience in Aerospace Engineering
- Proven track record in optimizing test planning and execution, utilizing metrics to enhance productivity and reduce rework

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range: $138,550 – $187,450
