Boeing Global Services (BGS) is currently hiring a Mid-Level Service Engineering Technical Analyst to support Boeing rotorcraft with a primary focus on CH‑47 Chinook electrical and avionics systems, based out of Ridley Park, PA.
This role centers on diagnosing electrical/avionics faults, leading field troubleshooting and return‑to‑service actions, coordinating sustainment solutions with suppliers and engineering, and restoring fleet operational availability.
This role may also support V‑22 and MH‑139 platforms as needed. Primary work location is Ridley Park with frequent domestic and international travel.
The ideal candidate will have strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Position responsibilities:
Provide field and program-level technical support for CH-47 avionics/electrical systems; support V-22 and MH-139 as required.
Support as technical point of contact for CH-47 customers and internal teams on electrical/avionics issues.
Perform advanced troubleshooting of LRUs, wiring harnesses, power distribution, flight/avionics controls, and associated software/firmware faults.
Support on‑site disabled aircraft surveys, root-cause analysis, and return-to-service decisions for CH-47 electrical/avionics failures.
Analyze in‑service data and failure trends to propose mitigations, reliability improvements, and corrective actions.
Coordinate AOG / NMC responses, marshal company and supplier resources, and execute customer action plans to restore mission capability.
Collaborate with engineering, suppliers, and procurement to influence design fixes, capability upgrades, and sustainment strategies.
Review manufacturing nonconformities and service data for electrical/avionics impact and recommend risk mitigations.
Develop and deliver technical guidance, documentation, and training focused on avionics/electrical maintenance best practices.
Maintain clear liaison between customer leadership and Boeing leadership; represent Boeing professionally in all customer engagements.
May be requested to support other programs, perform other duties as assigned.
Travel to customer sites domestically and internationally for 20% of the time.
Required Qualifications
3+ years of experience with electrical and/or Avionics repair techniques and processes, including working with various electrical components for military aircraft including wiring, circuit testing, electronic diagnostic equipment, and troubleshooting
3+ years of experience with electrical/electronic schematics and drawings
3+ years of experience in any of the following: Aircraft Delivery, Maintenance Repair, Aircraft On Ground (AOG)
3+ years of experience with rotorcraft maintenance
Travel domestically and internationally for 20% of the time
Preferred Qualifications
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience, 9 years' related work experience, etc.)
Leading cross‑functional teams under time-critical conditions
Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain technical issues to technical and non-technical stakeholders
Direct CH-47 Chinook experience (avionics/electrical technician, crew chief, flight engineer) strongly preferred
Experience with V-22 or MH-139 avionics a plus
A&P certificate, avionics certifications, or equivalent military maintenance qualifications
Experience with avionics test equipment, fault isolation tools, IETMs, and maintenance/reliability databases
Experience reviewing manufacturing nonconformity data and driving corrective-action closure
Familiarity with U.S. Army maintenance concepts and interoperable fleet sustainment practices
Strong stakeholder management skills and proven ability to represent Boeing in customer engagements

Summary Pay Range Mid-level (Level 3): $99,450-$134,550
