The Boeing Defense Space and Security (BDS) is currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Experienced Mission and Training Systems Test Analyst to join their team in Richardson, TX.
This position will be part of the P-8A Advanced Airborne Sensor (AAS) Mission and Training Systems Integration and Test team, which provides software integration, testing, checkout, and maintenance support for the P-8A AAS Mission and Training Systems development and sustainment contracts.
The P-8 AAS Mission Systems devices are representative aircraft and ground support systems contained in a laboratory environment where testing is conducted prior to test on mission aircraft.
The P-8 AAS Training Systems devices include a device that simulates the mission systems of the aircraft, electronic classroom used for desktop instruction, mission planning station used for preflight planning, scenario generation station used to generate scenarios for roleplay in the mission systems trainer.
The role of this position is to become a Subject Matter Expert (SME) of these mission test and training devices from an operator perspective.
This position will primarily operate in a lab environment. The candidate will support both local development as well as remote installations.
Position Responsibilities:
- Develop test plans and create/maintain test procedures for the P-8 AAS mission systems and training devices.
- Coordinate and conduct formal testing of mission systems software and the training devices with the customer and quality assurance.
- Plan, coordinate, and conduct System Integration Tests on a regular basis. This testing consists of semi-formal end-to-end testing of the system with a defined software baseline.
- Support device checkout and formal testing at customer sites.
- Coordinate resources required for testing and device checkout.
- Write detailed reports with test results following informal test events and formal test reports following formal testing.
- Support software developers by testing development software from an operator perspective and providing feedback.
- Conduct device checkout after software upgrades or planned maintenance activities.
- Document system defects, participate in the Defect Review Board with leadership and the customer to establish the priority of resolving the defects.
- Generate scenarios for use in the training system that target testing of the requirements and new functionality.
- Collaborate with the courseware team to test the courseware and supporting products in the trainer.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position requires an active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)
Security Clearance and/or Special Program Access or other Government Access requirements are mandatory for this position. Much of the work at The Boeing Company is of a classified nature and many positions require a security clearance, the granting of which is at the discretion of Government authorities. A final security clearance is mandatory for this position prior to start. If you cannot or do not obtain the required final Security Clearance and/or Special Program Access or other Government Access requirements in a time frame established by program management, this offer may be withdrawn. Once your clearances are granted, if they are not maintained, the result may be reassignment, reclassification, or termination of employment.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- 3+ Experience with Maritime Patrol Aircraft mission systems
- 3+ Experience with the operation of Maritime Patrol Aircraft systems: Radar, VHF/UHF radios, IFF, Datalink (Link 16/11)
- Willing and able to travel up to 25% of the time domestically (intermittent for remote installations)
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- 2 or more years of experience operating the AAS-configured P-8A or support systems
- 1 or more years of experience with the P-8A Weapon Tactics Trainer as an instructor
- 1 or more years of experience as AAS instructor

Summary pay range for mid-level: $98,600 – 133,400
