Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is currently seeking multiple Quality Systems Specialist - QMS Auditor (Experienced or Senior) to support internal audit in the Chief Aerospace Safety Office (CASO) organization located in Renton, Washington.
The successful candidate will, under general or minimal direction, lead and perform system, product and process audits in accordance with the requirements of the Boeing Quality Management System (BQMS) to determine compliance to the QMS, regulatory, customer and business-related requirements.

Position Overview:
BCA Internal Audit conducts audits throughout BCA and business units conducting Production Certificate 700 work authorized by the FAA. Our audits spearhead efforts to enable a necessary culture shift at our company, while meeting Boeing's regulatory requirement to conduct audits. Our team audits Supply Chain and Supplier Quality processes, Engineering organizations including, but not limited to Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Engineering Liaison, Industrial Engineering, and Quality Engineering. The team also conducts production system and process audits based on an risk assessment. Position Responsibilities:
Develops audit project plans and execute audit plans.
Validates compliance to requirements and identifies non-compliance and improvement opportunities.
Conducts opening and closing meetings with audit stakeholders, including executive management and their assigned leaders.
Documents and negotiates audit findings and write a final report.
Communicates the results of the audits to assigned management team.
Works with audit stakeholders to ensure timely and effective corrective actions are submitted and perform audit follow-up activity to verify effectiveness of corrective actions.
Works with the audit stakeholder or corrective action plan assignee to provide consultation or guidance on root cause analysis pertaining to non-compliance.
Analyzes process data, metrics, models and flows to identify risk based and root causes of problems.
Conducts research, compiles and analyzes performance reports, process controls and business analytics/statistics to continuously improve process capability.
Local travel may be required across Puget Sound in support of BCA sites; some domestic or international travel may be required to support BGS, BDS, and ODA.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
5+ years of experience working with quality systems (e.g., Boeing Quality Management System (BQMS), International Organization for Standardization (ISO9001), Aerospace Standard (AS9100).
5+ years of experience in conducting Compliance, Foreign Object Debris (FOD), Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA), Tool Control and/or Audit assessments.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
10+ years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Bachelor's degree or higher.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Strong teaming, collaboration, negotiation and project/time management skills.
Experience in aviation production, engineering or repair station work.
Familiarity with Root Cause Corrective Action, Lean+ tools, and AS9100 Auditor training or Auditor Industry training.
Prior experience working with industry standards and regulations such as AS9100, Title 14 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Parts 21 and/or 145 and FAA Order 8100.7 are highly desirable.
Current hands-on experience using Microsoft Office Products like Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
Exemplar Global Lead Auditor, American Society for Quality – Certified Quality Audit (ASQ - CQA) Certification, Institute of Internal Auditors, Certified Internal Auditor (IIA CIA) or other audit certification.

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary Pay Range for Experienced (Level 3): $86,700 - $117,300
Summary Pay Range for Senior (Level 4): $107,100 - $144,900
