The Boeing Company is seeking a Lead Intercompany Accountant to join the Intercompany Center of Excellence (COE) in Hazelwood, MO or Renton, WA.
The Intercompany COE is an exciting and dynamic organization that requires collaboration, engagement, and continuous development of process improvements. This team utilizes BlackLine (cloud software that automates and controls financial close and accounting processes) to facilitate process automation and improvements for intercompany transactions, reconciliations, journal entries and other accounting processes throughout the enterprise.
Position Responsibilities:
Design and develop solutions to automate accounting workflow using Blackline capabilities (Intercompany Hub, Journal Entry, Matching, Task Manager, etc.)
Drive process improvements to align with Blackline capabilities
Coordinate with internal and external partners to ensure successful execution of Blackline projects
Ensure effective support models to sustain and continuously improve Blackline solutions in production
Lead training of internal resources and drive broad adoption of Blackline
Monitor metrics related to Blackline usage and ensure we are achieving best in class usage
Technical Competencies
Experience, understanding and knowledge of Blackline Platform
Experience with best practices for how Blackline is utilized in industry
Experience implementing Blackline solutions
Experience with accounting processes and best practice
Experience with automation design, logic, scripts and planning
Project Deployment:
Supports the deployment of project deliverables, ensuring timely and successful implementation
Oversees communication and collaboration with stakeholders throughout the project development, implementation and sustainment phases; stakeholders include subsidiaries, other accounting organizations, Finance Systems Analytics and Information Technology (IT)
Ensures compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX) and government regulations such as Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation (DFAR), as applicable
This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor's degree or higher in accounting, finance, business or a related field
3+ years of experience with BlackLine Systems automation tools
3+ years of experience in Project Management
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience performing quantitative and qualitative analyses, problem-solving, and making independent decisions
Experience with finance and accounting systems and processes
Experience in finance or Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system implementations
Experience with SQL
Experience with system development
Experience with Peoplesoft
Experience in a role that required strong communication and interpersonal skills

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary Pay Range: $118,150 - $171,350
