Role: Aircraft Pneudraulics Technician
Location: Al Udeid, Qatar
Position Responsibilities:
Supervises, inspects and performs AVUM, and AVIM maintenance on aircraft pneudraulics systems.
Removes, repairs, replaces, adjusts and tests pneudraulics systems, subsystems, assemblies and
Fabricates tubes and hoses.components according to technical manuals, directives and safety procedures.
Diagnoses and troubleshoots malfunctions of pneudraulics systems, subsystems, and components
Uses and performs operator maintenance on common and special tools.
Requisitions and maintains Shop Stock and Bench Stock to support the repairs of aircraft pneudraulics systems.
Prepares forms and records related to aircraft maintenance.
Inspects, maintains, and repairs Aviation Ground Power Units (AGPUs) IAW applicable AGPU manuals.
Provide OJT, coaching, and mentorship to the QAF personnel in the use of all applicable technical publications, tools, test equipment, and special equipment applicable to this discipline, thereby enabling them to become effective Pneudraulics Technicians.
Removes and installs aircraft systems and subsystem assemblies and components including engines, rotors, gearboxes, transmissions, mechanical flight controls and their components. Services and lubricates aircraft systems, subsystems, and components.
Prepares aircraft for inspections and maintenance checks.
Performs scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance actions.
Uses common measuring tools, precision measuring gauges and alignment fixtures.
Performs aircraft and related components routine and special inspections.
Performs maintenance operational checks.
Diagnoses and solves problems aircraft subsystems using special tools and equipment as required.
Assembles, disassembles and/or modifies systems by changing, removing, replacing or upgrading aerospace vehicle components to accurate failures or implement changes.
Fixes complex pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems to isolate mechanical or electrical faults and repair faulty components.
Documents procedures and established processes to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance (e.g., repairs, test results, applicable modifications and inspection results).
Works under general direction.
Travel on short notice.
Travel both domestically and internationally.
Required Experience:
Five (5) years Pneudraulics Technician experience
Two (2) years’ experience maintaining the US Army APU or civilian- equivalent GSE equipment
Two (2) years ULLS-A(E) or a similar aviation maintenance management system.
Successfully completed and be qualified by the appropriate U.S. Government armed forces aircraft pneudraulics maintenance course or civilian equivalent training. Contractor factory training or other Qatar Boeing MAT PWS W58RGZ-24-R-0051 Baseline Date 29 equivalent training by industry shall be reviewed and approved by the PCO or his/her designated representative and/or the GFR as substitute.
Desired Experience:
Past experience working as a Pneudraulics Technician in support of the AH-64 series aircraft.
Previous training and experience maintaining the US military or civilian aircraft AGSE equipment.
Prior experience or qualified in another aviation maintenance discipline.
Prior experience working in the Southwest Asia/desert region.
Other Information:
This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility.
This requisition is for an international, locally hired position in Qatar. Benefits and pay are determined at the local level and are not part of Boeing U.S. based payroll and will be commensurate with experience and qualifications and in accordance with applicable Qatari law. Employment is subject to the candidate's ability to satisfy all Qatari labor and immigration formalities.
