Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer within the Executive Transport Systems Engineering Capability in Oklahoma City, OK. As a key contributor to our engineering teams, you will collaborate closely with customers and cross-functional partners to deliver integrated, innovative solutions that enhance performance and mission success across multiple established aircraft platforms.

Position Responsibilities
- Lead the development, analysis, and integration of complex system requirements and architectures, ensuring alignment with customer and regulatory expectations.
- Coordinate cross-functional engineering teams to deliver seamless system design, implementation, and verification solutions.
- Develop and execute system verification and validation plans, including support for flight test activities and certification efforts.
- Collaborate closely with customers, stakeholders, and suppliers to capture, clarify, and manage evolving system requirements.
- Lead risk assessment and mitigation strategies to uphold system safety, reliability, and compliance.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams, fostering professional growth and continuous improvement.
- Document system designs, trade studies, and technical analyses to support informed decision-making and program reviews.
- Support certification, compliance, and production readiness activities in coordination with cross-organizational partners.
This position is 100% onsite in Oklahoma City, OK.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance, for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance post-start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience)
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement
- Minimum of 9 years’ professional experience in systems engineering or related technical roles within aerospace, defense, or similarly regulated industries.
- Demonstrated expertise in systems engineering lifecycle activities, including requirements development, architecture design, verification & validation, and risk management.
- Proficiency with systems engineering tools such as DOORS, Excel-based planning tools, and Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience)
- Experience with interface control documents (ICDs), functional and logical architecture development, and systems specification.
- Proficiency in System Architecture and Modeling tools such as CAMEO/MSOSA and IBM DOORS.
- Expertise in requirements management, verification & validation, and traceability techniques and tools.
- Proven skills in risk, issue, and opportunity management within complex engineering programs.
- Experience leading system design reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR) and managing technical milestone gate processes.
- Hands-on experience with systems integration and test, including lab, ground, and flight test environments.
- Familiarity with Airworthiness and Certification regulations (FAA, EASA, Military).
- INCOSE Certification or equivalent professional credential is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated success in mentoring and leading early to mid-career engineers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance team environment.

Summary pay range: $127,500 – 172,500
