The Boeing Legacy Tankers (KC-135 and KDC/KC-10) organization is seeking a Project Engineer (Mid-Level or Senior) to lead engineering sustainment services contract proposal, project execution and help shape new business development in Oklahoma City, OK.
This role will focus on overseeing all aspects of current contracts and future proposals to the United States Air Force (USAF) customer at Tinker Air Force Base.
Position Responsibilities
Leads project execution to complete the work statement
Provides the Engineering leadership to a team representing multiple skill areas, which may include internal and external resources and customers
Develops statement of work (SOW) to satisfy research and development, ongoing and new business requirements
Works with customers and management to obtain approval
Responds to changes to SOW, assesses the impact and negotiates proposed changes to determine modifications to the deliverables, resources, costs and schedules
Identifies performance metrics. Plans, identifies, and coordinates resources required over the life of the project or program
Defines plans for risk mitigation and opportunity
Compares actual results to baseline plan to assess project performance, efficiencies, productivity and lessons learned
Provides technical, business and integration leadership for the development and execution of project or team plans.
Works under minimal direction
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
3+ years of experience performing complex engineering or system integration work
3+ years’ experience multi-discipline engineering project management
3+ years of experience in leading and/or managing complex projects
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
(Level 4): 5+ years of higher education and/or related work experience. (Higher education includes college, university, technical school, licensing/certification programs, etc.)
Experience in Aging aircraft modification and sustainment
5+ years’ experience in Earned Value Management
Experience with leading major design changes through multiple phases of product and certification lifecycle
Experience working across a team representing multiple skill areas with internal and external resources and customers
Experience with complex systems development and integration

Salaries are based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range for Mid-Level (Level 3): $90,950 - $123,050
Summary pay range for Senior Level (Level 4): $111,350 - $150,650
