The Boeing Legacy Tankers Program (KC-135 and KC/KDC-10) at Oklahoma City is seeking a Program Manager to lead both Recurring Complex Spares & Repairs Production Programs and Engineering Sustainment Support (ESS) Fleet Support multi-year proposals and contract execution.
This position will have a responsibility to lead efforts supporting USAF Tinker AFB customers as well as Domestic and International customers, who maintain and operate the global fleet of KC-135 and KDC/KC-10 aircraft. This position will also support customers associated with the Special Mission aircraft (RC-135, TC/WC-135) and Foreign Military Sales KC-135 fleets in Chile and Turkey.
Position Responsibilities:
- Leading in the development of both proposal and execution plans consistent with ensuring the long-term sustainment and viability of the KC-135 and KC/KDC-10 tanker aircraft in the USAF fleet and with Direct Commercial Sales & International partners around the world.
- Establishing partnerships and relationships with internal and external customers, suppliers, stakeholders, peers, and direct reports. This includes developing and maintaining good working relationships with our primary Customer, the Legacy Tanker System Program Office (SPO) and Supply Chain Management Wing at Tinker AFB in Oklahoma City plus Air Force customers, suppliers, and other Boeing business units, as well as our Direct Commercial Sale & International Customers.
- Implementing Project Management Best Practices (PMBP) across the program to ensure business, technical and customer requirements are achieved.
- Creates a culture of continuous improvement by communicating/deploying enterprise best practices and fosters employee engagement to improve cost, quality, delivery, employee job satisfaction and customer satisfaction.
- Leads initiatives to evaluate and improve programs, products, services and processes. Ensures organization-wide implementation of process improvement methodologies (e.g., LEAN, Capability Maturity Models).
- Monitoring Program financial and schedule metrics to support budgetary planning, EACs and Variance Analysis and ensuring appropriate corrective action is taken as needed.
- Insuring a clear understanding of Program staffing requirements/plans and ensuring those needs are communicated and acted upon by the capability functional teams and functional internal support organizations.
- Conveying organizational messages to facilitate the accomplishment of organizational goals, as well as communicating appropriate policies and directives to enhance employee awareness and clarify expectations.
- Coaches, counsels, and mentors employees and facilitates developmental opportunities and job assignments to enhance performance and expand capabilities of employees in the Legacy Tanker Program.
- Building on an organizational culture that values open and honest communication, recognition of employee achievements and innovation leading to high levels of employee engagement and satisfaction leading to retaining a skilled and motivated workforce.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Experience leading or managing multiple cross-functional teams
- Experience working in the aerospace industry or on Department of Defense (DOD) or United States Air Force (USAF) programs
- Experience managing one or more suppliers in the performance of complex parts production or component repair efforts
- Experience leading large, complex proposal/acquisition efforts of over $100M in size
- Experience presenting complex technical data to internal and external stakeholders and senior/executive leadership
- Project management experience to include Earned Value Management (EVM) and Control Account Management (CAM) activities
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Experience working with the U.S. Air Force customer
- Experience working with the KC-135 and/or KC-10 aircraft programs
- Experience with Program Management Best Practices (PMBP) and the Enterprise Standard Gated Process (ESGP)
- Experience with the baseline and change management aspects of program planning and control

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range: $118,150 - $159,850
