Boeing Defense Space and Security is seeking an Entry Level Systems Engineer to support Requirements, Verification, and Integration efforts for Bombers Sustainment Program in Oklahoma City, OK. The position provides an opportunity to work with an experienced, interdisciplinary team to develop unique systems to meet challenging requirements on air refueling development programs. This position will be based in Oklahoma City, OK.
As part of Boeing’s Defense, Space & Security organization, you will play a critical role in the integration, test, and operation of the Bombers Sustainment programs. You will work across multi-disciplinary teams to ensure that the aircraft’s complex systems—including aerial refueling, avionics, flight controls, communications, and mission systems—are successfully integrated, tested, and delivered to the warfighter.
Much of the work will be related to sustaining and upgrading the existing B-52 platform and include software and hardware upgrades.
This position provides a unique opportunity to combine systems engineering discipline, airplane systems knowledge, and hands-on integration/test operations, directly supporting Boeing’s mission to enable global reach for the U.S. and allied forces.
Position Responsibilities
- Support system-level integration of hardware and software for B-52 Platform.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop new requirements and maintain existing requirements database.
- Coordinate verification and validation efforts across multiple development projects to enable first time quality for Integrated Product Teams and customers.
- Apply knowledge of software, mission systems and airplane systems (avionics, refueling systems, electrical power, hydraulics, environmental controls, and flight controls) to support design, integration, and troubleshooting.
- Support troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and corrective action for system integration issues.
- Collaborate with software, mission systems, airplane systems and other engineering teams to ensure seamless cross-system integration.
- Provide input to design reviews, safety reviews, and certification activities.
- Communicate effectively with engineering teams, program management, customers, and leadership through clear technical writing, presentations, and real-time decision-making.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; demonstrated ability to lead technical discussions.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Experience with military aircraft development, integration, or sustainment.
- Knowledge and/or experience in software coding.
- Knowledge of Bombers programs.
- Understanding of systems safety, reliability, and airworthiness certification processes.
- Familiarity with lab integration environments (HIL/SIL) and simulation-based test.
- Current/previous DoD Secret clearance or ability to obtain.
- Familiarity with requirements management tools (DOORS or equivalent).

Summary Pay Range $62,900 – 85,100
