The Boeing Company is currently seeking a highly motivated Associate Software Engineer - Simulation to join the CITS Simulation Software team located at Tinker AFB in Oklahoma City, OK. This position will focus on supporting the Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) business organization.
The Central Integrated Test System (CITS) Team develops Operational Flight Program (OFP) software in support of the B-1 Bomber. The CITS Simulation software team develops and maintains the software used to support development, integration, testing, and verification of the CITS OFP software. The simulation team is responsible for integrating real-time embedded software with hardware in order to support the CITS OFP. The team performs development using up to date coding standards, the agile methodology, Jira, Git, and Gitlab. The Software Engineer will collaborate with a diverse engineering team to design, develop, and maintain simulation software products.
Position Responsibilities:
Supports the design, architecture, and development of simulation models, simulation visualizations, virtual environments/platforms and frameworks to enhance test performance, safety, and durability of software and hardware systems throughout the entire product lifecycle.
Supports partnership with stakeholders to review and identify simulation requirements and dynamics of the systems being simulated. Supports designing, modeling, simulation, testing, and analysis to assess and optimize overall system performance and capabilities.
Contributes to data collection and processing for use in simulations. Supports with validation, verification, and refinement of simulation software code, models, simulations, test procedures and test environments, executing test procedures and documenting test results and modeling against real-world data, test data, benchmarks, or other similar models.
Contributes to documenting and maintaining technical code, algorithms, specifications and descriptions of simulation models.
Supports partnership with cross functional engineering teams to enable integration of simulation software with hardware devices and systems.
Supports implementing current and emerging technologies, tools, frameworks, and methods in the software engineering simulation environment.
Supports modernizing, migrating, sustaining, and updating simulation software to adapt legacy systems to new operating systems. Contributes to simulation software project management functions.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at Tinker AFB, Oklahoma City OK.
Security Clearance and Export Control Requirements:
This position requires the ability to obtain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance for which the US Government requires U.S. Citizenship. Ability to obtain Secret U.S. Security clearance (Post-Start).
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/ Experience):
2+ years of experience in software engineering
2+ years of experience with programming C/C++
This position is located in Oklahoma City, OK. Candidates must be able to relocate if not already living in the local area.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or other technical degree
2 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Prior experience with object-oriented software architecture / design patterns
Experience developing models and simulation
Experience with Agile software development
Experience with modern software development tools (e.g. Jira, Confluence, Jenkins, Git)
Experience with aircraft platforms, aviation, simulation, and training systems is beneficial
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate with stakeholders of different backgrounds and skill levels

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range for Software Engineer – Simulation P2: $84,150.00 - $113,850.00.
