The opportunity

We are seeking a talented EHS Specialist to join the MLSS team to be based in Oakey, QLD.

Responsibilities

Providing Environmental and Health & Safety subject matter expert advice.
Supporting internal customers and the MLSS Program on Environmental and Health & Safety processes, issues and regulatory compliance.
Performing inspection and audits, investigating incidents and providing advice regarding corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence of incidents.
Coordinating the development and maintenance of EHSMP's in accordance with company requirements and international Environmental and Health & Safety standards.
Helping to establish a culture that is aligned with EHS objectives, with continuous EHS improvements.

To be successful you will have:

5 or more years' related work experience.
Tertiary qualifications in Environment, Health & Safety or a related discipline.
Extensive knowledge of relevant Environmental and Health & Safety legislation and regulations.
Energy, passion, problem solving ability with can-do attitude.
Ability to work as part of a team and autonomously.

Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet Defence security requirements. An NV1 Security Clearance will be required.
