The Boeing Company has an exciting opportunity for an Experienced Technical Integration Engineer to join our team located in North Charleston, SC.
The Engineering Operations (EngOps) Organization within 787 Airplane Level Integration Team (ALIT) is seeking an experienced engineer to join our Configuration Management Health Assessment (CMHA) Team. The position requires a candidate with a servant leadership mindset who communicates and collaborates well with others. They need to foster an environment that values diversity. Engineering candidates should have a background in configuration management and/or experience in a manufacturing engineering role, supporting production of commercial airplanes; 787 strongly preferred.
In this role, team members will gain technical experience with engineering configuration management, supplier assessments, and process/application improvement while working as part of a larger cross-functional team. The position will require both domestic and international travel and provide the opportunity to expand their overall network.
The Statement of Work (SOW) for this position may include:
- Configuration management oversight and support for the 787 Program.
- On-site work at Boeing design partners and suppliers performing technical assessments.
- Preparatory and post-assessment activity to provide actionable tasking to improve partners and suppliers in the management of their technical information.
- Process improvement, advising application development.
- Technical coordination for resolution of configuration management issues.
Position Responsibilities:
Defines, documents and interprets product requirements relevant to certification, configuration, data and data management and engineering processes.
Develops, documents and implements plans and processes to ensure products meet technical, data, regulatory and company requirements and to maintain configuration control.
Tracks and reports data to monitor adherence to regulatory, data configuration and contractual requirements; supports audits and reviews to ensure products meet requirements.
Ability to travel domestically and internationally, with travel not exceeding 25%.
Work Authorization Statement:
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at our North Charleston, SC location.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
9 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Master’s degree or advanced coursework in relevant engineering or systems engineering fields.
Engineering experience in configuration management, manufacturing engineering, or similar role with exposure to product requirements relevant to certification, configuration, data management and engineering processes.
Strong knowledge or prior experience with AS-9100, BAC Specs, and Boeing product data management systems.
Experience with Boeing QMS and proficiency with Boeing tools such as ENOVIA, Velocity, PSDS, DCCS, etc.
Previous experience working directly with Boeing partners and suppliers.
Strong oral and written communication skills - able to comprehend and discuss technical content with diverse stakeholders.
Demonstrated leadership experience in both agreeable and contentious environments
Ability to collaborate with people from diverse backgrounds and cultures.

Summary Pay Range:
Senior (Level 4): $126,650 - $171,350
