Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for a Quality Engineer (Level 2) to support the 787 team in North Charleston, SC.
This is an opportunity to be part of a passionate team dedicated to excellence in aerospace engineering. We are seeking highly motivated and technically oriented engineers who have experience working in a heavily regulated industry and possess an unwavering commitment to quality and compliance.
Position Responsibilities:
Analyze engineering documentation to determine process capability and conformance
Perform audits of critical safety statement of work for engineering, build plan, and conformance planning improvements
Review and improve current build plan for simplification and standardization
Recommend and execute corrective actions to address systemic non-conformances
Perform engineering change review and verification
Perform continuous improvement of Quality Engineering processes
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
1+ year of experience in Aerospace, Manufacturing, Quality, or another regulated industry
1+ year of experience writing technical documentation
1+ year of experience in collecting, organizing and analyzing data, summarizing findings, and developing conclusions
1+ year of experience in applying Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) or other similar rigorous problem/analysis/resolution processes
1+ year of experience working on cross-functional projects
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience working in a Quality Engineering or other production engineering job role focusing on aerospace structures and composites.
Experience working with AS9100 and/or similar QMS standard
Experience with analytics tools & software
Proactive and collaborative mindset with an emphasis on positive relationships
Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written communication skills
Experience in identifying chronic non-conformances through data analysis and implementing effective corrective actions
Experience in leading/managing cross-functional teams

Summary pay range: $83,300 - $112,700
