The Boeing Company is looking for an Experienced Education Relations Specialist to join our team in North Charleston, SC.
The Education Relations Specialist is responsible for organizing and executing Boeing South Carolina’s education outreach initiatives. The role focuses on maintaining strong partnerships with schools, educators, students and community organizations to inspire and engage K-12 and college students in STEM curriculum and careers aligning to career opportunities at Boeing South Carolina. The ideal candidate is a passionate, outgoing and organized professional who thrives in dynamic and collaborative environments and enjoys connecting with students, teachers and community leaders to promote STEM awareness and opportunities for career alignment at Boeing South Carolina.
Position Responsibilities:
- Coordinate, implement, and support education and community outreach programs that promote STEM education and careers related to Boeing South Carolina.
- Partner with internal team to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders, including school districts, teachers, counselors, students, and community partners across South Carolina, with a focus on the Tri-County region.
- Plan and coordinate STEM-focused events, workshops, school presentations, career fairs, and hands-on activities both on and off Boeing campus.
- Represent the company as directed across the region, including in public settings such as Boeing-sponsored community events.
- Collaborate with internal teams to align outreach efforts with company talent needs and branding.
- Create engaging educational materials, presentations, and resources that highlight STEM careers and Boeing’s role in aerospace across the region.
- Track and report on program metrics, including student and school engagement, event attendance, partnership growth, and overall program impact.
- Identify opportunities to enhance outreach efforts and recommend new ways to inspire students to pursue STEM pathways, including supporting the High School Student Development Program and high school internship programs at BSC.
- Manage logistics for outreach events, including scheduling, budgeting, materials, and volunteer coordination within established guidelines.
- Support charitable grants and sponsorships by engaging volunteers and managing the volunteer platform to help ensure gift matching and company contributions are optimized as assigned.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Education, a STEM-related field, or related discipline
- 3+ years of experience in education outreach, community relations, STEM education, talent pipeline development, or a similar role
- Experience with presentations, public speaking and engaging audiences of all ages, especially students and educators
- Experience managing projects and the ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously
- Experience planning and executing events and programs for educational and/or community audiences
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and collaboration tools
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Must be able to lift and transport event materials as needed (20lb – 30lb)

- Demonstrated passion for STEM education and genuine interest in inspiring and engaging the next generation of STEM professionals and Boeing South Carolina teammates
- Experience communicating and engaging employees across organizations

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range: $85,000 - $115,000
