Boeing’s Space Launch System Core Stage & Exploration Upper Stage production based at the NASA Michoud Assembly Facility in New Orleans, LA is looking for a Test Technician to join their team.
This role will be part of the Boeing Test & Evaluation (BT&E) Production Test Team that is testing and verifying our products to ensure safety and quality for human spaceflight. The Production Test Team does significant amounts of testing on the avionics, propulsion and hydraulic systems ensuring the proper build of the rocket.
BT&E is currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Associate, Experienced, and Senior level Test Technicians.
Position Responsibilities Include:
Performs setup, conduct and documentation for tests on products, systems, and components
Coordinates test requirements, determines test methods and capabilities
Conducts system test preparations by coordinating system integration, fabrication, modification, setup, checkout and teardown
Conducts tests, analyzes data and documents results; participates in test readiness reviews
Troubleshoots and resolves test-related problems
Coordinates test activities, maintenance and repairs
Coaches and trains others
Works under general direction
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Experience working in a lab test, factory test, or similar test environment
Ability to support frequent standing, walking, lifting, and working at heights with or without equipment assistance
Willing and able to work in confined spaces
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Level 3: 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Level 4: 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience with leak testing and/or operation of pneumatic panels
Experience with Avionics/Electrical Systems and/or Propulsion, Fluid Dynamics, Leak Testing or Pneumatic Panel Operations
Experience in a clean room or factory department
Experience with troubleshooting
Flexible and agile while working through and understanding priorities and being able to adapt to quick and changing environments
Experience with technical drawings and processes

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range Associate Level: $47,600 - $64,400
Summary pay range Experienced Level: $55,250 - $74,750
Summary pay range Senior Level: $63,750 - $86,250
