Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) has an exciting opportunity for a Mid-Level Non-Destructive Test Specialist in New Orleans, LA.
This position requires the ability to work variable shifts, overtime, and occasional weekends if necessary.
Position Responsibilities:
Performs setup for specialized non-destructive test or measurement equipment
Develops procedures and processes
Performs tests or inspections and collects data
Documents, analyzes and communicates results and assists with corrective action recommendations
Provides feedback on adverse trends
Responsible for non-destructive testing and acceptance of repairs to company products
Conducts certification preparation training
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.
This position requires the ability to obtain a clearance for access to a National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) facility.
This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
1+ year experience in NDI (non-destructive inspection) or NDT (non-destructive test)
1+ year experience performing dimensional, composition, non-destructive, destructive and/or electrical/electronic inspections
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Current or prior NAS410 qualified and previously certified Level 2 or 3 in at least three of the following six methods: ultrasonic (UT), eddy current (ET), radiographic (RT), magnetic particle (MT), penetrant (PT), infrared testing (IRT) Training and 80 hours of compliant classroom training)
Ability to travel 15% of the time.
Ability to work in confined spaces and fit through a 10X18 oval opening.
Ability to provide training records and work history for NDT disciplines.

Summary pay range: USD $58,650 – $79,350
