Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS), Space Launch System (SLS) team is looking for highly skilled and experienced Associate, Mid-Level or Lead Manufacturing Planner (Level 2, 3 or 4) to join our team in New Orleans, LA.
Our team is currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels including Associate, Mid-level and Lead planners.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing processes, manufacturing planning, and production optimization. This role involves working closely with manufacturing engineering, quality, and production teams to ensure efficient and cost-effective manufacturing planning of products while maintaining high quality standards.
Position Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes and planning
Collaborate with the manufacturing engineering team to review manufacturing build flows for planning producibility
Create and maintain manufacturing work instructions
Identify and resolve manufacturing issues to improve product quality and production efficiency
Lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce waste, improve cycle times, and enhance overall manufacturing performance
Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
2+ years of experience working as a manufacturing planner or reading/interpreting manufacturing plans in support of production work
2+ years of experience in the use of computer-aided design and simulation tools
2+ years of experience in a role that required excellent communication, project management, presentation, and facilitation skills
Experience reading, interpreting, and enforcing standardized manufacturing processes, work instructions, and engineering drawing and process procedures
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
5+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
9+ years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
5+ years of experience in manufacturing planning & production support
STEM focused Associate and/or Bachelor’s Degree
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to present complex technical concepts to diverse audiences
Competent in Full-Size Determinate Assembly builds
Competent in Model-Based Design
Competent in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
Competent in MESci
Competent in PTC Creo modeling or other CAD software suites

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Associate (Level 2) Summary pay range: $60,350 - $81,650
Mid-Level (Level 3) Summary pay range: $72,250 - $97,750
Senior (Level 4) Summary pay range: $86,700 - $117,300
