Boeing Commercial Airplanes is excited to offer opportunities for a Shipping and Distribution Facilitator B to join our Materials Management & Tooling team in Moses Lake, Washington.

In this pivotal role, you will coordinate and oversee the work of team members, facilitating the accurate packaging, crating, and shipping of materials and assemblies. Position Responsibilities:
Facilitate, coordinate, and check the work of lower-classification employees in a Distribution Center or Shipping Area, ensuring tasks are completed accurately.
Operate various information systems and material handling equipment, including riding type electric powered elevating equipment and overhead hoists.
Perform daily safety reviews on shop equipment to ensure compliance with safety standards.
Assemble and disassemble crates and boxes as required for shipping and distribution.
Receive materials and prepare them for shipping or distribution, verifying quantities and part numbers against packing slips.
Pack and unpack freight, fabricating shipping containers using various power tools as needed.
Ensure proper labeling and identification of each carton, creating additional labels when necessary.
Sort freight and route it to appropriate areas, such as Quality Assurance or storage locations.
Prepare freight for shipping by wrapping, boxing, crating, and sealing materials according to specifications.
Handle and package hazardous materials and electrostatic equipment in compliance with federal regulations and Boeing requirements.
Maintain and store supplies of carton fabricating materials, wrapping, and packing paper.
Collaborate with other organizations, such as Quality Assurance and Procurement, to facilitate the handling of materials and resolve discrepancies.
Access computer systems to process paperwork and obtain necessary information for shipping and distribution tasks.
Make special reports to management as requested, documenting any issues or discrepancies encountered.
Communicate with team leaders or supervisors when assistance is needed or when problems arise.
Physical Demands and Potential Hazards:
Perform physical tasks that include lifting weights ranging from 10-15 lbs to 15-35 lbs.
Engage in various movements such as reaching, handling, turning, twisting, lifting, lowering, climbing, balancing, bending, kneeling, crouching, and squatting.
Work in environments that may involve contact with metals, solvents, and coolants.
Operate in proximity to moving parts and tools, sharp cutters, and potential slipping hazards.
Adapt to varying noise levels and atmospheric conditions.
Utilize personal safety gear to protect face/eyes, hands/arms, and feet while performing job duties.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee

Basic Qualifications:
1+ years of experience in preparing freight for shipping.
1+ years of experience using software applications for internet navigation, email, Microsoft Suite and/or other specialized computer applications.
Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 35 pounds frequently within an 8 hour shift.
Currently possess a valid driver’s license.
Preferred Qualifications:
1+ years of experience working in a distribution or shipping facility.
1+ years of experience in supply chain procurement and/or warehouse inventory management.
1+ years of experience operating powered material handling equipment.
1+ years of experience packing and unpacking freight and fabricating shipping containers using several different types of power tools.
1+ years of experience preparing hazardous materials and electrostatic equipment for shipping.
Experience operating a forklift and/or pallet jacks.
Experience with DOT regulations and compliance.
Typical Education & Experience:
High school graduate or GED preferred.

Pay: $23.32/hour, with potential to earn up to $51.82/hour in accordance with the terms of the relevant collective bargaining agreement.
