Boeing Global Services, Consumables & Expendables (C&E) Distribution Business is looking for a Procurement Agent Manager (Level K) for our Miami, FL facility.
Position Summary:
The Procurement Manager manages Procurement Agent employees performing activities related to committing company resources to purchase goods and services, developing supplier strategies, development of bid packages, proposal analysis, and development of contracts. Develops and executes project and process plans, implements policies and procedures and sets operational goals. Acquires resources for projects and processes, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements. Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners and direct reports. Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes. Provides oversight regarding negotiation processes and related tools. Manages, develops and motivates employees.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervise the day to day operations of the procurement team to achieve key results in support of the business. Manages team’s process on an ongoing basis seeking to reduce manual intervention and duplication where possible
Develop and execute of procurement strategies and ensuring their alignment with achievement of the company’s key results. Develop, enhance and nurture strategic supplier relationships with key suppliers; lead key supplier Business Review process, including, supplier performance feedback, metric review.
Manage the day to day operations of the procurement team to achieve key results in support of the business; flexing resources, optimizing demand and releasing those requirements into the supply base. Manage this process on an ongoing basis seeking to reduce manual intervention and duplication where possible;
Realign supplier delivery schedules to customer demand.
Flex resource requirements to meet the ‘needs of the day’. Ensure day to day priorities are aligned with management expectations. Ensure a thorough understanding of people and processes.
Manage negotiations with vendors on prices, contracts and conditions
Realign supplier delivery schedules to customer demand
Ensure the implementation of and adherence to, standard operating procedures to ensure superior levels of performance. Identifying potential areas of process improvement, recommend solutions, and drive improvement. Develops and maintains reporting as necessary
Use a monthly "Dashboard" of KPIs regarding supply base delivery performance. Use this information as the basis for prioritizing Supply Chain performance improvement. Agree on recovery plans where needed.
Resolve supplier discrepancies (quantities, paperwork and other) by closely working with the Operations/QA departments
Assist in continuously enhancing the skills of team members by coaching, training, and/or mentoring activities
Maintains and disseminates knowledge and awareness of industry issues, trends and developments for assigned commodity area; Responsible for continuously enhancing the skills of team members by coaching, training, and/or mentoring activities.
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned or required
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience):
5+ years’ experience in Supplier Management or Supply Chain Management
3+ years of experience leading or managing projects that involved cross-functional or cross-business unit teams
3+ years of experience negotiating contracts or management supplier performance
Experience reporting status and recommendations to senior and executive leadership
Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Education: Bachelor’s Degree – Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or related field of study
APICS Certified in Production & Inventory Management (CPIM)
Experience working in a distribution business environment
General knowledge of aerospace compliance and regulations
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
This position requires travel up to 10% of the time

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range: $100,000 - $140,000
