Boeing Defense, Space and Security (BDS) is seeking an Experienced Lean Practitioner to support the Vertical Lift team in Mesa, Arizona
The Experienced Lean Practitioner will help drive process improvement initiatives in support of the AH-64 programs. The role supports a cross functional team in a highly visible and dynamic environment. Candidate must be proactive, results oriented, willing to take on challenging assignments, and have the ability to lead multiple priorities in a matrix organizational structure.
The position also requires strong communication and teaming skills along with the ability to develop and maintain strong customer relationships, including the ability to provide high level key messages and summaries to various leaders at all levels. Creates a culture that drives continuous improvement by communicating/deploying enterprise best practices and employee engagement to improve cost, quality and delivery. Candidate must be comfortable working in manufacturing environment and on the shop floor. Must be easily adaptive to change and establish dynamic ways of implementing lean manufacturing.
Position Responsibilities:
- Assists with instruction in improvement tools and principles
- Assists with teaching basic LEAN modules
- Gathers data and information
- Leads others in continuous improvement tools and principles
- Utilizes Boeing Problem Solving Method (BPSM)
- Identifies risks and opportunities for improvement
- Evaluates results and finds opportunities to improve work-related projects and processes
- Supports process improvement
- Develops and updates instructional materials
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- More than 3+ years of experience implementing lean principles
- More than 3+ years of experience partnering with cross-functional teams
- Experience using Microsoft tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
- Experience working cross functionally in a factory or manufacturing environment
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Experience with Value Stream Mapping
- Lean experience in manufacturing environment
- Experience drafting and briefing presentations to cross functional partners and Senior/Executive Leadership
- Bachelor’s degree or higher

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range: $83,300 – $112,700 USD
