Tapestry Solutions, a part of Boeing Global Services BGS, is seeking a Test and Evaluation Engineer in Maryland Heights, MO and/or Hazelwood, MO to support future franchise programs.
This role involves strategic and tactical preparation for future air combat. You will advance mission planning software development, integration, and test efforts supporting the fielding of systems critical to our national defense. Advanced mission planning is a sophisticated process that employs detailed analysis and cutting-edge technologies to develop strategies for accomplishing complex objectives. This includes comprehensive planning, resource allocation, and the creation of contingency plans to ensure mission success. Our advanced planning solutions leverage AI, machine learning, and real-time data analysis to anticipate and adapt to dynamic operational conditions. These innovations will fundamentally transform how the Department of Defense conducts mission planning for the next 30 years, enhancing both strategic foresight and tactical execution.
Position Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and execute automated test scripts for functional, regression, and performance testing
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and define test strategies
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to enable continuous testing
- Identify, document, and track defects using bug tracking tools
- Maintain and enhance existing test automation frameworks and tools
- Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives
- Analyze test results and provide timely feedback to development teams
- Ensure test coverage and quality standards are met
- Supports Software Engineers in conducting Unit Test Step development and Unit Testing
- Works under general direction
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor's Degree
- Ability to obtain a U.S. Secret Clearance
- Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies: manual testing, automated testing, regression testing, performance testing, etc.
- Proficiency in test automation tools such as Selenium, JUnit, TestNG, QTP/UFT, Appium, or similar
- Strong understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, etc.) including Agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning and retrospectives)
- Strong knowledge of behavior-driven development (BDD) and test-driven development (TDD)
- Experience with programming/scripting languages: Java, Python, C#, JavaScript, or others relevant to automation
- Familiarity of Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) pipelines and tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI)
- Familiarity with API testing tools
- Knowledge of version control systems (e.g., Git)
- Ability to write clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases
- Knowledge of defect tracking and test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail)
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively within cross-functional Agile teams and the customer
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to adapt quickly to changing requirements and priorities
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Experience with cloud platforms
- Basic knowledge of databases with the ability to write and execute simple SQL queries to validate data
- Understanding of scripting or programming languages (e.g., Python, Java) is beneficial
- Familiarity with security testing principles and practices
- Security+ Certification

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualification, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary base pay range $100,000 - $134,000
