Boeing Defense, Space, and Security (BDS) Space, Space Mission Systems (SMS) is looking for a Senior Manufacturing Analyst to join the Production Engineering team in El Segundo, CA.
The Production Engineering team offers the opportunity to work at the intersection of engineering and manufacturing, where you can apply problem-solving skills to improve processes, innovate solutions, and contribute to the overall success of delivering satellites. This field is ideal for those who enjoy hands-on work, collaboration, and the challenge of turning concepts into reality while making a tangible impact on production efficiency and product quality.
Position Responsibilities:
Leads the planning and execution of projects requiring manufacturing engineering practices.
Leads activities for improvements to engineering designs, manufacturing processes, large-scale systems integration and software applications.
Approves supporting processes and related documentation.
Leads consultation and training on procedures and processes related to engineering and production.
Develops advanced manufacturing technology and guides its implementation into production.
Leads technical and administrative activities to meet regulatory, production and process requirements in support of the manufacturing plan.
Communicates with internal/external stakeholders to ensure products and services meet requirements.
Works under minimal direction.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
15+ years of experience related to manufacturing satellite sub-systems
Experience leading teams
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and documents, CREO Models, instructions, operation manuals, safety rules, etc.
Knowledge of problem-solving tools to continually improve processes while eliminating defects and errors.
Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive technical solutions in a production environment.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to present complex technical concepts to diverse audiences.
Experience with lean manufacturing principles, continuous improvement, and variation reduction in tooling applications.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Experience with Solar Array Manufacturing and Integrations for space products.
Active Top Secret SCI Clearance

Summary pay range: $129,200 – $174,800
