We are seeking a highly skilled Radar Systems Engineer (Lead, Senior or Expert) in El Segundo, CA with extensive experience with Radar systems to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, development, and integration of advanced radar systems for various airborne and space missions. This role requires a deep understanding of radar sensor technologies, data processing, system operation, mission requirements and radar system architecture.
Position Responsibilities:
Lead the design and development of radar systems including SAR, ISAR, and MTI ensuring compliance with mission requirements and specifications
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate sensor and data processing systems
Conduct performance analysis and testing of system, including environmental testing and data validation
Develop documentation related to design, testing, and operational procedures
Stay current with advancements in radar systems and recommend improvements to existing systems
Participate in project planning, risk assessment, and management activities
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and team members
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.
This position requires a current Tier 5 (T5), formerly known as a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) (U.S. Citizenship required) or requires candidate agreed to enter a Continuous Evaluation program.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
Proven experience in the design, integration, and testing of radar systems
Strong understanding of sensor technologies, data acquisition, and data processing techniques
Knowledge of communication systems and data transmission protocols
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
Experience with software tools for simulation and modeling of radar systems
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Bachelor’s degree in engineering or physics; Master’s degree

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Summary pay range:
Lead (Level 4): $128,350 - $173,650
Senior (Level 5): $157,250 - $212,750
Expert (Level 6): $186,150 - $251,850
