Boeing Global Services is seeking an Experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join the Supply Chain Engineering team in Long Beach, CA or are open to considering candidates for placement in Dallas, TX.
The successful candidate will focus on providing technical expertise in support of parts development and manufacturing. In this role, you will be responsible for engineering support to enhance manufacturing processes and ensure producibility of our parts in the aftermarket. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a proactive approach to problem-solving, and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
Position Responsibilities:
As a Manufacturing Engineer you will be responsible for the following:
- Provide Overall Technical Expertise: Serve as the primary engineering support for the program, ensuring that all technical aspects are addressed effectively.
- Perform Technical Reviews: Conduct technical reviews to enhance First Time Quality for Request for Quotation (RFQ) responses, ensuring that all requirements are met.
- Identify Key Technical Enablers and Risks: Collaborate across global sites and with suppliers to identify key technical enablers and risks that can improve tools and processes.
- Review Candidate Parts List: Verify and validate that candidate parts are producible, ensuring that supplier production system requirements are identified and risks are addressed.
- Create Part Producibility Documentation: Develop comprehensive part producibility documentation to share with suppliers, detailing part specifications and critical requirements.
- Verify Supplier Capabilities: Prior to award, work with Global Field Operations and Supply Chain to verify supplier capabilities in support of the supplier down-select process.
- Complete Manufacturing Readiness Level Assessments: Conduct manufacturing readiness level assessments for both test and production phases to ensure readiness for production.
- Ability to work on-site 5 days per week.
- May be asked to support other programs / perform other duties as required.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics.
- Extensive experience with Boeing engineering requirements and processes.
- Experience working with suppliers and component manufacturing.
- Ability to collaborate with suppliers, all Boeing Programs, manufacturing teams and other supporting stakeholders.
- Ability to present to senior and executive leadership.
- 5+ years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- 4 + years’ experience in Production Configuration Management.
- 4 + years’ experience in a Manufacturing environment.
- 4 + years’ experience working with multi-functional teams/organizations.
- Experience implementing or defining new Manufacturing processes in a production setting.
- Experience with the following software PDM, CAPP, REDARS-EID, IVT, WIRS, EWITS, BWS-CM, CDS, EWIRE, E-PLAN, VELOCITY, ENOVIA, EWIRE, Equipment Manager.

Salaries are based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
Experienced-Level Summary Pay Range: $96,050 - $129,950
